Has anyone dealt with Etsy Visual Verification (Persona) in cases where there is no contact with the account owner?

I’m curious if anyone has had successful cases passing verification without the person being available.

Would appreciate any insights or experiences.

For Payoneer (AU10TIX), it may be possible I’ve managed to handle that. But with Etsy (Persona), it’s much more difficult.

I have 2 EU accounts under stealth data that require Etsy Visual Verification (Persona).
Has anyone found a service provider who can bypass that?

No authorized service provider in the marketplace here...likely have to look outside the forum.

Etsy visual verification uses third party software that can detect f@ke documents as well as alterations to real documents with over a 99% detection rate.

The only way any f@ke documents or altered documents pass is via a manual review.

The trick with Etsy visual verification is to bypass it and submit the documents and "selfie" for manual review.

Interesting take, but honestly, forcing a manual review with altered docs feels like jumping out of the frying pan into the fire.

Sure, you might bypass the AI biometric mesh that automatically flags a duplicate face or an obvious digital edit, but a human support agent actively staring at a document is going to notice if the fonts, spacing, or edges look even slightly off. Plus, most human reviewers on these platforms are trained to look specifically for the common edit tricks anyway.

Have you actually had much success forcing manual reviews on Etsy lately? I'd be curious to know what the success rate is like with that method before risking any documents on it, because usually, once a human gets eyes on a dodgy doc, it's game over.

What's your take on getting these docs passed on eBay?

I think you've got that the wrong way around. It's the third party AI software that detects changes in font & spacing far better than any rep can.

The only way to get any f@ke documents to pass on Ebay / Paypal or any platform is via manual review. Those prompts to scan QR codes and take live pictures on your phone are using third party software, which I've never passed with f@ke documents.

Tbh, I only skimmed over the initial posts here and though it was Payoneer verification with Etsy being discussed. No, I haven't personally tried to force a manual review on Etsy however I've done it plenty times on Payoneer (bypassed AU10TIX live verification and submitted stealth documents and selfie which have subsequently passed).

Stealth documents still work well on Ebay and Paypal.

What happens when you say to Etsy you are not technically savvy and have no smart phone,would Etsy grant a manual review?
My ETSY account is old,back then,you just open an account with email ID,name and address and link a bank account,no question asked,the good old days! when Etsy needs you more than you need Etsy!

This might ...MIGHT...work if you have proof you're account was created in 2005-2010 hah - Etsy CSR would see the age of the account though so I think it's low likelihood.

I can pass the Etsy persona verification, pretty easy — just ask the account holder to do the verification.

For some accounts, though, I couldn’t reach the original account holders, so I used visual verification instead. The oldest account verified this way is now over 6 months old and is still active.

Also, all of my account holder details are real（full name matches the birth date). The accounts were originally created with information that matches Etsy’s database requirements. The only issue is that sometimes I can’t contact the actual person to complete the facial verification.

Passing the verification is straightforward when the account holder is available. However, my main question is specifically about how to handle the visual identity verification for accounts where the original holder cannot be reached.Since the account details (full name and birth date) are entirely real and match the database, I am looking for the best way to complete the facial scanning step under these specific circumstances

Yes, I successfully passed the verification without using a real person. It wasn't easy, but everything worked out in the end. A human is no longer required for Etsy's visual verification process. I have already completed it successfully on my own account. From what I've seen, visual verification is usually triggered after reaching $5,000 in revenue or 50 completed sales.
