Etsy stealth direct checkout possible?
 

I just started selling on etsy, and it has been going very well.

I initially opened my account with all stealth info and tactics from the books and forums, wanting to use direct checkout instead of paypal.

Everything was good, until the direct checkout asked for the last 4 digits of my social.

I used a real bank account number with the stealth info, but it couldn't verify my identity. Tried a random last 4 digits a couple times, but no luck.

I ended up opening the account with legit info.

Question is:
1. If I have a business bank account, opened with EIN and name of business, would that be able to work as the last 4 digits?

2.Is it possible to stealth direct checkout?

Even if no one wants to give out the step by steps, knowing that it is possible would be helpful.

I mainly did it just to see if it can be done. Also seeing how some shops have been closed with little or no reason made me a bit nervous with giving real info.

Direct checkout does require a tax id relatively quick, so have that ready.fyi

If you stay away from the cliques, etsy is OK.

But when you get into the different circles, I agree there might be issues.

Shame. Otherwise etsy is a great sales place.

I know stealth it is definitley possible with a Paypal account.

Just to confirm, are you using direct checkout on your stealths?

I agree with the cliques, social aspect of etsy can be dangerous. My girlfriend was following a particular seller who had a huge instagram and twitter following. If someone made a bow with the same Joannes supplied fabric, she would message her followers to report the shop for copying. Sometimes the followers would find the persons phone number or place of work number and harass them! Kinda crazy.

Are you using direct check out on your stealth account?
If so how do you get around the ssn? I want to know this as well.

You can avoid ssn using other countries but you still need an usa bank acc with usa billing address.

Avoiding SSN is wise.

So i they leave me alone ,i leave them alone :) lol, my first account just dissapeared thats why i opened up 3 new *bam!* and all working great. I just wished etsy had more of "my kind of traffic"

Have read about using canadian ebay accounts for stealth.

Nice to know it works for etsy.

For the canadian ip do you use dial-up?

hi ... i just got suspended on etsy, inmediately try to open a new account without knowing they trace some information and link, 2 days later i was shut down again after creating one whole day of 30 listings =( ...

I have been reading here at the forums and this is the only info I could just found on etsy stealth...

what do I have to do to not be traced if I open a new account again??
I was thinking on use a dedicated laptop and just open a new account and use for that one, but I need to open 2 different stores, my main computer still login to the suspeded account because Im still working on orders already paid, so there's no way I can use it...

my ip is static, i have the service with comcast, modem and then a linksys router for wifi ... will it work if I use a hot spot just for the laptop avoiding get into the wifi? and how can I open the new acccounts without being linked??

any advice and any help will be really apreciatted

Create User Accounts for each Etsy Account, this way each etsy account is separate and so are your cookies for each account.

Look at my 1st Suggestion, Separate User Accounts will work. You dedicate 1 computer to etsy but not necessary, if you multiple computers, just create separate user accounts on each system if you want and that will work.

Your most likely being linked by IP address, and cookies. Suggest you pick up a USB Modem (Dongle) that will let you change IP's, also suggest you log your IP for each etsy account you open.

does the mac adress is beeing screened on their black list database??

do I need to use a different computer if so, from the one where I was flagged??

just to double check, by creating 2 different users for each of the etsy accounts,, you reffer for 2 windows users right??

I would start by following MM78's advice.

Highly doubt they log mac address' of computers.

Follow the advice, then if you still get suspended check back.

Would also recommend not using the same paypal email address or direct checkout information that was used on the suspended account.

Make everything fresh and new. Like a brand new person.

This time I will take lot of precautions, big fish wants to eat mini fishes... it is very strict on there...

I guess that I will have to log in from an outside wifi to get my suspended account information (still have some orders to fill out)

Don't forget to log your IP's if you do plan to have more than 1 account.

thank you for the advice, I will keep a log so checking everytime I got IN...
since I still have to use the old banned account, have to avoid log in with the same adress...eventually will not longer access

another question now pops up... recently I have been hearing the news that online sales will have to report taxes from each state if aproved....has anyone consider this when using the stealth accounts??

are we all moving to Canada for this purpose??? lol

This is a constant fear but as you learn more and experiment more, the fear gets desensitized

Use the fear with a dash of common sense.

Be proactive in being a new stealth you.

Operate with discipline.

Be in control.

Do not allow etsy & fear to control you.

It is a game.

Work on that premise.

Like eB or other sites, you should build a few accounts via stealth - always helpful to have backups

Does etsy detect paypal accounts by the email used or the name on the paypal account?

So in theory you can use the same paypal account that was suspended from etsy as long as you add a new email to paypal, and following the guidelines of a clean pc (cookies etc)

They see both - using the SAME pp by adding an e-mail doesn't mean that they see don't the REST of the info on pp...easy link and suspension again.

That trick of adding a new email stopped in 2007.

Will not work at all .

You need a new paypal account. Everything must be new in stealth.

For Canadians they have bank transit numbers for us in america its routing numbers. I don't think you can input a routing number for a bank transit number. Also for the account number it is called financial institution number.

Ah ok I follow. Yes for Canadian bank account usage, you will need 1) bank number (3 digits) 2) transit number (5 digits) and 3) a Canadian bank account anywhere from 7+ digits.
