Etsy Question?
 

Hi Everyone! I had a couple of question regarding opening new multiple accounts on etsy. I know that you need a new ip address for each account plus new credit cards for each of the accounts. Im wondering for example if I open 4 etsy accounts with different ip address and different information and credit card but use 1 paypal account (different email address on paypal but 1 paypal account) that is linked to all of the etsy account. Can etsy know that it is the same seller?

Also what is a great alternative to putting credit card number so they could verify to open up the shop on etsy?

Now having 4 or more etsy accounts I was wondering do I have to have different computers for each account or am I able to have different windows account for each so they dont get linked together as how ebay works. Does etsy have tracking cookies as well?

Well yes, they will be able to see that the PayPal email address is the same for all the accounts... Pretty strong link.

Nearly all websites will use cookies. Different user accounts will keep your cookies separate.

Hi thank you for your reply. How would they know even though the email address is different on each paypal account. Does etsy know when the buyer purchases the item under who names is receiving the money on paypal? How do people create multiple accounts on etsy? Do they have different paypal account for each account? Thank you!

Same PP is fine. Change email used.

I use prepaid cards, all they check is ZIP code.

Different windows users and different IP is all you need. Etsy is incredibly simple compared to EB and AZ.

Hi! So if there is only one paypal account used for all etsy account but associated with is different paypal email address for each etsy account but linked to one paypal account that is fine? Would etsy know to which seller the money is going to when receiving payments via paypal when an item is sold on etsy? Could you please let me know. Thank you!

So far, it has not been a problem for me. But, keeping all of your eggs in one basket is not safe no matter what site you are on. Just don't get sloppy and careless.

While unkown speaks from personal experience, much better to keep things separate and not have all accounts feeding into 1 pp...if the pp gets limited, you will have problems

Depends more on your own ability to not cross-link yourself.

Hmmm, from my experience ETSY is NOT that easy, unfortunately.

ETSY kicked us last August, we opened a new account in December.
We used the same name, different location (Germany, still have a bank account there), new user account, used Cyber Ghost for new IP.

They closed the store a week later.

SAME NAME? Ok, huge mistake right there. Which only tells me you made a million more if you can't handle something so simple.

Argue all you want. Those who know ste/alth would have no problem on Et/sy following normal procedures we all use on EB/AZ. I have multiple stores running.

But wouldn't that mean that nobody else in this world could ever open or run an account if he has the same name like me.
Let's say John Smith already opened an account and was closed for any reason.
If my name would be John Smith an I live in Germany, ETSY wouldn't let me open an account?

Cyber Ghost for IP...service might have been used by many as well...leading to IP problems

It's a link. This entire forum is dedicated to discussing how not to get linked.

You used same name and same products along with an IP service that may be well known. Who knows what else you have done to link yourself. You need to learn a lot more about stea/lth.

Opening Etsy Stealth Accounts are actually easier than Amazon or Ebay, The key is not to use the same Information, everything MUST be new, not semi-new.

Using "Programs" or services to "Hide" IP's are not suggested at all on this forum, There are many options to help aid in the IP area.

If you used the same images, same listing information of a specific product then you made it easy for Etsy.

Stealth is not for the lazy, it actually takes MORE work than a legit account.

How do you get around the last 4 social security number on etsy? I tried to make a new account with all new info and could not get direct checkout because couldn't identify me.

But I am very lost with the payment. I have the idea of creating a new Paypal. and top up balance with another person from another country. but the commission would be quite expensive.

I just read your comment that uses prepaid cards and it's easier for me. It is possible to recommend a page where I can obtain it without asking for so much documentation.
