Etsy Stealth Help!!
 

I got kicked of Etsy for no good reason (as seems to be the case with a LOT of Etsy users) then started a stealth mode account, used it successfully with CC payments until a few days ago when WHOOPS I used an old computer and the cookies got me kicked off again. Poo.
So I'm trying to sign up again and thought I had followed all the steps right except this time I have a new computer with windows 8 so switched to a 'local account' 'cos I didn't know how to get rid of it or change it all together. Then I tried to sign up with a pseudo name (same as mine but one letter changed in the first and last) but I'm in the throws of signing up, new bank account, new phone number etc but I just got an email from Etsy asking for Passport or Drivers licence ID if I want direct check out.
So I don't know if I should continue sign up and not get direct check out
(will the be suspicious??)
OR if I should try it all over again??
How did they catch me? Was it because the pseudo name and bank account name don't match?? Please help !!

Why are you not using PP for ste/alth?

Then you can constantly add new PP email accounts to create new Et.sy accounts all while using the same PP.

1st, You need to stop trying whatever you think is going to work......It's not working.

2nd, You need to Read and take the advice given on the forum.

3rd, You need to learn how to properly Stealth methods, whatever your doing is not working.

There are a lot of threads that will help work but you have to read, read, read. Also, take unknown5454 advice....he is well versed in etsy stealth, check his threads...he gives a lot of excellent advice.

I used the stealth mode successfully for 3 months then made a slip up
Specifically I need to know when you enter your bank details does the name need to be the same as the actual bank details or can you put in your alias name? Could they have flagged my post code?

Also what information does your Microsoft account share with Etsy?
I just got windows 8.1 and connected it to my banned email without thinking.
I wanted to delete my account but it was going to take 60 days.
I changed my 'primary alias' aka email to another one and deleted the original one.
I can't seem to change my birth date
will any of this specifically effect trying Etsy again?

I just switched Windows 8 to a local account with no password, will that be enough?

And my new account I was setting up was approved but they were asking for ID verification, it possibly could have been random but I still need to figure out when entering bank details do I put real name, alias or shortened name. Thanks!

New Windows user, new IP, new CC, new PP and signup email...that's literally it.

Now, if you are putting in the exact same information when you sign up every single time, then of course they will shut you down. If you use same item photos, titles, etc, you will get shut down.

What's funny is that you claim you know stea/lth. With all of your questions, you definitely don't. Stea/lth on Et.sy works perfectly when following all steps used in creating AZ, EB and PP accounts.

You keep using your same bank account with same registration. What in the world are you doing? This is not stea/lth and you have a lot of reading to do.

Just stop with the bank account stuff altogether. You are wasting an insane amount of time.

Any of these changes are retained by etsy in any case.

The old you is still there.

To start over ALL info must be new.

I have a new bank account with a new bank but I had to sign up to the bank with my real name and d.o.b.
All I need to know is if Etsy have to have the same name when you sign up as the name on the card or can you put your alias in card/bank details.
How do they verify your info?
I have new IP CC and PP and email and I'm using 'local' setting on windows 8 with no password and the new email as primary alias. I've change my pictures and descriptions and have a new phone number.

I followed the same process last time I signed up and was able to have a store without issues and with direct checkout.

Here is the email they sent me:

You can't use d!rect checkout. They are always going to ask to verify the info/ssn. P@ypal is (in this case) your friend but not your SAME old PP. New stealth one. Don't reuse any old info not your name not your address not your email address not your pics not your item descriptions, nothing. They WILL shut you down each and every time you are linked. Ste.alth will work on there just fine. If you have not gotten the e.bay ste.alth book you really should. Same principles apply. Please don't use friend/family info. If you mess up that can hurt them in the future!

You literally are not listening to anything we have just told you.

Thanks for your help. The only person who was even close to an actual answer was novemberrain1970 and the info was still for Eb.ay and not Et.sy. They don't ask for an SSN and last time I applied they didn't need to verify info unless that has changed in the last couple of months??

I never ever put the same name into Et.sy, all I wanted to know is if the alias name I was putting in was tripping me up because it's different to the card details on my physical card. I have had a direct checkout on stealth before and Ets.y is definitely different to Eb.ay

It is only different in name.

Stealth applies for both platforms.

etsy Australia never wants SSN. This country simply does not have them.

When you say 'physical card', do you mean a bank issued card?

It is quite important you let me know this. I will then try to help .

The only AVS check they do is zip code. Everything else can be bogus.

Why you are completely avoiding PP is beyond me. Maybe you like to waste time.

But, hey, you are so stea/lth that you thought simply deleting your old info in your old account was "stea/lth".

I was also unsure what to put into the name section, there are two name sections, one asks for your personal details including name and another section on the same page asks for your name as shown on the bank card.

If you put your alias name in the name section do you match the same name to the 'name in the bank card' section? Can Et.sy tell that it's a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name as it doesn't match the card. Can you use initials for both section i.e. P K Wright.

The message that pops up is "Are you sure your details are correct. Please make sure to enter your full legal name"

I repeat, their AVS system only checks zip code. Everything else can be whatever you want it to be.

I don't sell on E.bay it's definitely true for Et.sy that they ask for last 4 of social for direct chkout. If it doesn't match it is going to throw up a flag.

The issue is that he's an Aussie and there is no S.SN for them. For us in USA, there is. I don't know what is used in OP's country to truly verify someone's identity for ta.x purposes..

Either way, normal ste.alth procedures work perfect for Et.sy and that's all that matters here. OP needs to clear their thoughts a bit.
