US Ste/alth DC for Et.sy
 

I am not willing to burn any of my current ste.alth Ets accounts but I am going to be doing a test here soon with a new nonessential one - since there are so many folks wondering about DC for Et/sy. I don't know whether, if they ask for ID and you don't give it or the one you give is not what they were looking for - does it jeopardize the account or will it continue on just no DC? I looked all around the forum and could not find an answer to this so I am gonna fall on my sword, and report back. :) Give me a week or two as my MIL is in the process of moving up here so it's a bit hectic right now. But I will let you know when I do, what the outcome is. I am in the US so not being able to give a matching SSN that they can verify has been a stumbling block for many - I just want to see if we can find a way around it. :dance:

I will test a Canada address/Canada bank account in the next few months (been on my list of things to do) to see if this is a good workaround. If you enter in a Canadian bank but US address they still ask for SSN.

I know they will ask for SSN but I am wondering if there are, shall we say, ways around it. :)

Time to be very careful when you stray into that territory. You are signing up for a merchant account service. This is the same as signing up for a bank account. Federal laws cover these and it would be wise not to be running around submitting ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info. You'd actually be worse off if it somehow slipped past their nets and later on the feds grabbed you for some patriot act violation.

Exactly. If they don't or can't identify you and are helping you move money, that's technically lau.ndering.

Goal is to find out how we can repeatedly make DC accounts using legit identity that won't instantly ban you.

Definitely not suggesting anything like that. I meant more along the lines of EIN + some rather impressive BS talk. :)
