Heading over to ETSY next year..
 

I'm going to start selling part time on ETSY next year and have a few questions..

Right now my main concern is the payment processing side of things, am I correct that they have their own thing going without having to use PayPal?

I guess I should sign up and start looking around their site.

Expect drop in sales then, they have much less visitor traffic and considerably less sales!

There will be no drop in sales, on the contrary this will be another revenue stream. I will still be selling on eBay full time..

I am just going to move some of my Vintage items over to ETSY. :)

Yes, yes, they have their own direct checkout. Accepts credit cards and is a more natural checkout process so it's more appealing and comfortable to n00b buyers.

I can see RosieTosie has the typical AZ/EB tunnel vision. Don't be lazy. So many people have no idea the kind of money that lies outside of those 2 platforms.

I don't use their DC because of the SSN verification thing but I don't notice any lower sales than before when I did offer it. I rarely had anyone use it, in my experience PP has a better rep for buyer protection so maybe that is why.
