1st stealth account problems

I am new here and I've read the st/ealth guide. I am not from US. My first ste/alth was banned too although everything was new: I changed my ip successfully, used another CC, used a different name and address (but same city), Windows User, new gmail account to the same PP.

I think it's because of the product. Cause I've changed photos, designs, descriptions but product is still the same and probably that may be an issue. Not very unique product, I have a lot of competition there, but I was the only one in my country selling this product...

I did email them to get an explanation. The answer was "due to the inconsistences in your account..." the rest you all know.

Can I use a VPN? I know it is better to never put the same product to the same location... And I am wondering if I am going to use VPN how to send tracking info? I was thinking of sending shipping notifications by mail but I am still worried the buyer or even the competitor can complain... Thanks. :help:

I've had that happen before. I had to change up the location like you are proposing. You may need to go VPS if it's all you have available to get a different geo-location. I'd recommend, which is what I do, make several accounts with similar items in the same area so if you lose one it won't be odd if another few show up later. Obviously space this out.

Thanks, Gladiator! I was thinking about several accounts in the same area. But how about tracking - do you send tracking numbers on et/sy if you are on a different geo-location? Thank you!

I don't send them on etsy ever. I only do that if there's a case and my store is in the area I used to sign up.
If you respond, hey buyer it's delivered the buyer will close it or etsy will ask if the buyer if the issue is resolved and nothing comes of it.

Do you mark it as shipped and if not that seems it would be a headache. In the newer system marking it shipped sends the buyer an email (no longer optional it sends one whether you want to or not) and then inevitably the next logical question would be "Can I have tracking?" Any way around that or am I missing something?

I am not on Et anymore but I have friends who have been suspended and are considering ste/alth. Just curious.

I use shipstation so I email them automatically. If they don't have it or ignored the email and ask, I email it directly to them or add it to the Paypal invoice which generates a new email. In the message when I mark it shipped I have a message to buyer to check their email for their tracking information.

Don't use VPN - get VPS at the least or try cell phone tethering or dongle access.

Have you ever had any displeased buyers due to the fact the item was shipped from another location? Thanks for taking the time to respond!

Really depends...are you dropshipping from China perhaps?

No no, I am not dropshipping. I am from Europe and going to get a VPS in neighboring european country as stealth in my location got suspended. I make and ship everything myself. And there's a lot of sellers with similar products, not within my area though. So I am worried a buyer can see the item was shipped from another country and probably report me...

A few times some buyer would be annoyed going "OH I THOUGHT YOU WERE IN (INSERT STATE) SO I EXPECTED THIS FASTER!" but it happens only once in a blue moon so I don't worry about. It's the least of my etsy nightmare worries.

If admins manually review the account which uses a VPS does it mean they can reveal it as they can find more info than IP only?

Manually review of any account can lead to issues in general

Any manual review is flagging an account. There may be consequences.

I would be careful of opening more than one account in the same area AND selling your old items.
