Re: Etsy shop deactivated in 2 days, what went wrong?

You were more than likely linked by a bot immediately. I can't tell you how because I don't know your setup, but if you have a bunch of stores not getting indexed and eventually being suspended, that's a bot linking you. Then, when Et/sy gets around to manually reviewing your account, they just suspend you or delete the store.

If you create a store, add products and then go into your store view, you can search for your own products. If they aren't showing up within 30 minutes or less, you're getting linked by a bot. Most of the time I set up stores, the products are there in less than 10 minutes.

I had 3 accounts not indexed when I start the shop but after 1-2 days Etsy allow me to sell and all of my listing are searchable. That's why I think they manually review the new shop, not sure depend on the Category or products listing or Country IP or whatever. .:pout:

That could also be true. Specific categories, etc. I do not sell risky products so I have never come across multiple stores not indexing.

Stupid question but what is a bot and how does it link to get shut down? I know regular bots because I had them on my accounts were the same products would consistently get tons of views daily.

A Bot is a piece of software running on their website that is programmed to do different things. It's even possible they have several bots running doing different task such as cross-referencing old accounts with new accounts.

I'm glad you go it to work. Also, you can always make back-up accounts to prepare for the future now that you have an understanding on how to survive there.

It's never a bad thing to learn how to make money outside of EB and AZ.
