New Phone, same number can I use app?

Hi everyone,

I just got a new phone and I checked the IP and it's different than the old phone used on the banned account. I have a healthy account that's been open for months and I don't want to mess it up by using the app, but it would be nice to be able to use it again.

Anyone know from experience if I am safe or can they see the actual phone number?

Phone number is only part of the problem.

You can not use such a phone again.

I dont know what app you are talking about but if I am guessing, its one of the phone number "burner" apps. Those tend to be used and abused by many and many.

If you are meaning the Etsy App - do not use it. If you burned it on your phone you are setting it up to burn your new account. The same eBay principal applies to Etsy or any storefront offering an app. Avoid at all costs.

How many years is it going to take for people to realize all apps can track UDID and phone numbers? Does not matter what OS, device, etc. Tracking a device through apps is incredibly simple.

Dunno why it seems foreign to so many. If you delete an app and reinstall it usually remembers the last stats, gaming apps especially don't want to be cheated. Apps are a no go for stealth and have been forever.

Here in the UK very often can a decent (ish) android be bought for £25 that can install the ebay/paypal app.

I haven't done it yet, but i'm always so tempted to buy 10 and run an account from each phone. Listing 1 off items is so much quicker, I seem to get less issues from accounts that are run on apps as well.

1 dongle sorts internet out on each, the sim for each phone can be kept in with no credit for any calls from ebay/paypal. I think it's a good idea. Only pain would be keep signing into wi-fi (couldn't have it remember unless the phone was turned off when not being used)

Same here. Best Buy in USA constantly has deals on Android phones. I have about 30 I haven't even opened yet. All were $10-$15 when they went on sale. So much easier to deal with separate devices.
