Have anyone tried Amazn Handmade? Is it selling well?
 

I have heard about AZ handmade but did not care about it. Just recently doing research and see that some Ets sellers doing fairly well. The problem is many items from only ONE seller got on the first page of search, so that ONE seller is doing above everyone else. I'm afraid if I jump in, I might as well wasting my time to list & curate; and all my items end up nowhere near the first page.

Probably depends what your handmade items are. I use to sell pet portraits on a site just for artwork, did OK on there as well, trouble with handmade can be the amount of time it takes to make the items and people never being prepared to pay enough for those items given how long it takes to create them etc.

Just checked this category out on Amazon, it is a new one apparently, they certainly go into detail about wanting lots of info about how the items are made, who makes them and where, name of business and where it is located, etc.

If it's profitable, I wouldn't mind being a bit or a lot busy at all. I recognize many etsie sellers on there, they are quite successful. But the key is to list A WHOLE LOT of items and they started when it first launched, now they have lots review so they always appear in search. As new sellers, I'm afraid to be buried on the last pages and no one will see me.

I am selling on Amazn Handmade. It definitely depends on what you are selling as to where you will wind up in search results. Most people go there looking for a specific item. I have been doing ok. Started out slow but it's also a new category. Most people I told about it never new it existed. It's going to take some time for it to get a busy as et zy but I prefer it. I can't deal with the crazy rules on et zy. They have no seller support and are useless. They have rules that only apply to some. Amazn handmade is handled the same way as regular amazn. At least you know what the rules are. I think it will take some time but Amazn seems to be more respected by people when I talk to them. Most people have heard of Amazn, not everyone knows about et zy.

One good thing about Amazn is that they gave me a free selling account for 12 months so I don't have to pay any seller fees until after that.
I think they realize it's a new place and it might take some time for the sales to come in. I pay the sales commission fee but no monthly seller fees.

There's going to be a lot more etsy sellers there when it does become popular, so joining now is going to be much better than joining then.

I'm selling on the site. Only 5 sales so far. I'll close the store in August when the free trial is up

Great for people who have time on their hands, and just want little cash on the side.
