Etsy App? Who uses it for stealth

So I've got a new phone and phone number.

Hoping to use the APP, what things should i consider, I'm thinking of running it through a VPN android app so the app will still use the same IP and my desktop e**sy account.

Obviously i clear cache and flash cookies also.

I really prefer to hear from optimistic technical users, and people who use it already.

What does the App provide you that is essential to you?

Essential, Not too much

I guess when i'm on the road, and not around for days at a time i'd like to keep track of work, and order which need to go out.

I also normally only have one of each product listed so when it's ordered i need to re-list fairly quickly, the app is much easier to navigate than the full desktop site.

On top of this i like to be able to respond to msg as soon as possible.

I'm just trying to understand why everyone's so skeptical on using the app for stealth accounts and just to understand the real issues of using it?

In my case, is just to avoid any possible human errors.

As for the listings renovation, they are in automatic mode. I do actually know when a purchase and/or msg is sent because et.s/y sends a notification to the email. And since I have a pay.pal account on checkout, I can actually see their personal email account and answer directly to the mail, if necessary.

Yes for me it's a new stealth account, so i don't have the option for Paypal, all payments are by DC. So logging into et*y is the only way to get full address information.

They are now implementing the VAT ID. I've never inserted it before, however I've been banned before. I'm wondering if, since they are implementing it and there's no way to avoid it, this can be a way of linking a address to paypal or irs.

You can ignore it, you don't need to pay VAT unless you earn over 80K.

If you are not registered for VAT, just tell Etsy that you are not VAT registered because your turnover doesn't justify registration.

80k?
Too far from such values. So I don't actually need to insert it, is that it?

I would love to have the app again but since it likes to see your gmail account details assigned to your phone there is no way I could use it on mine at the moment. maybe in the future if I ever consider a new phone but then I would be scared of making an error and making the account link for them, or I may lose access to my other sales apps or something.

I don't like using these third party apps - possibility of linking for future accounts is big.

If your using a new phone and your only using the app for 1 account then it might be ok. The reason we don't use apps, is that a lot of us are running multiple accounts and Apps in general collect a lot more than you think.

Just be sure you don't use the same phone + app with multiple accounts.

Thankyou, this is kinda of what i needed to hear and yea i'm sure i'll only be running this account with this phone.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone who does use the app already.
What precautions they take.

In the end, he was able to completely delete the app in this way.

Good to see you back on Buklet :)
