| BlackLion | 11-17-2016 09:27 AM | Having Problems With CoinBase Just signed up, and added funds to my account. I'm trying to pay a simple $6.25 bill, and my account has around $7 in it, but it's saying not enough funds whenever I try to pay to the address given to me. I'm confused? |
BlackLion | 11-17-2016 09:35 AM | Re: Having Problems With CoinBase Update: Selected "USD" instead of "BTC", now it's getting even more confusing. The site I'm paying says "partial funds received", which i find insane, because I sent the $6.25 they asked for, now it wants "0.000022" and I have no idea how much this is, or what "0.000022" even means :noidea: |
aspkin | 11-17-2016 09:43 AM | Re: Having Problems With CoinBase Contact the website and have them look into it.
It might be a misspaid payment so they will have to manually look into it. |
Re: Having Problems With CoinBase 0.000022 sounds like the bitcoin equivalent but that's like 2 USD cents... |
BlackLion | 11-17-2016 09:47 AM | Re: Having Problems With CoinBase I selected USD and sent $6.25, but it's saying partially received. The timer ran out, and ioffer still says I owe $6.25, but my account shows that it was sent.
Seems like i'll have to EMAIL Coinbase in order to get response, since they don't have a phone number, nor is live chat appearing. Not liking this company at all. |
Re: Having Problems With CoinBase Like bigboss said - perhaps the payment flag needs to be updated on the website - likely a temp glitch or so |
BlackLion | 11-17-2016 10:04 AM | Re: Having Problems With CoinBase This invoice was under paid
Invoice Total: 0.008405 BTC
Amount Paid: 0.008383 BTC
That's the notice I've received, so i'll request refund and try it again, but first i need to know what all of those random numbers mean, and their USD equivalent. |
JamesNorth101 | 11-17-2016 11:11 AM | Re: Having Problems With CoinBase Those random numbers are bitcoins
1BTC is work over $700 so $6 is going to be a small % of that hence being such a small number
BTC also does not clear right away when you get or send a BTC transfer. It will take from 20 to 60 mins on avaerage depending on how many confirmations are needed |
phaz0rz | 11-17-2016 12:00 PM | Re: Having Problems With CoinBase The value of BTC most likely changed a little bit by the time you submitted your payment, which is why they are saying you still owe .0000022 BTC. |
BlackLion | 11-17-2016 03:41 PM | Re: Having Problems With CoinBase WHAT!? Now I'm out of $6.25 because the Value of BTC changed. Don't think I'll be using this service again after I accept a payment from someone overseas. Ioffer hasn't responded, my account still states that i owe a fee, lost $6.26, added more, and now i can't send 0.000022BTC because the amount is too small to send even though prior i sent their asking fee, so there's no way they'll receive my money. %^$%&#%*$%^%$^%$^%$ |
JamesNorth101 | 11-17-2016 03:44 PM | Re: Having Problems With CoinBase If the value has changed by 0.000022BTC then you are only out $0.02
Usually things like that get let to slide though |
easy.bake.oven | 11-17-2016 09:41 PM | Re: Having Problems With CoinBase Google bitcoin converter and you can work out easily what.
The first time I used bitcoins and coinbase, I made a small error and had the same problem. |

The first time I used bitcoins and coinbase, I made a small error and had the same problem. | For your country, whenever you're sending money via Coinbase did you select BTC or change currency to POUNDS before sending?
I selected "USD" and sent correct request amount, but it still wasn't enough, so when I tried to send ioffer the additional $0.22 cents afterwards Coinbase wouldn't let me because the transfer amount was too small.
Now I'm waiting on ioffer to tell me where my money is. |
phaz0rz | 11-18-2016 09:27 AM | Re: Having Problems With CoinBase That right there is why I'm so hesitant to use BTC for any legitimate business purpose. Zero accountability. |
JamesNorth101 | 11-18-2016 09:32 AM | Re: Having Problems With CoinBase You would not have take into account the fees when when sending BTC h nice the discrepancy
When used correctly BTC is totally fine to use, it just takes a little getting used to at first |
Re: Having Problems With CoinBase Yh it might have been the fees
next time dont send in usd send exact number in btc |
Re: Having Problems With CoinBase Hope for some good news for you today OP |
BlackLion | 11-19-2016 11:36 AM | Re: Having Problems With CoinBase Nope, still no response from ioffer or coinbase, and my customer is still having a hard time figuring out how to send me money. However the 0.93 cents I had in my account went up to $0.98 wow  |
JamesNorth101 | 11-19-2016 11:44 AM | Re: Having Problems With CoinBase They just send money to your BTC wallet. It should really be very simple.
Coinbase will just tell you that the money has been sent to the sellers wallet, which it would have been. Its the seller of the item your trying to buy that you need to contact |
BlackLion | 11-19-2016 12:05 PM | Re: Having Problems With CoinBase I've sent a request for payment twice, but he's still having trouble. |
JamesNorth101 | 11-19-2016 12:14 PM | Re: Having Problems With CoinBase You just need to give him your BTC wallet and he can transfer the BTC. No need to send a request |
