Does your IP change during A session
 

Not sure if the is the correct place, I have been checking with Ipburger and my IP seems to change a lot, does your IP change every time you log in and out of your computer and can it change whilst still logged in, thanks

No, that is not normal and quite dangerous for the account/s.

Get in touch with your ISP and see what is going on.

I don't mean it changes when I am logged in, I mean if I turn my computer off overnight, I was checking whether it could change when logged in, thanks

If, when you turn my computer off overnight, you also switch off router or Inernet connection (USB dongle) this is what could happen if you have a dynamic IP.

You will get a brand new IP when you switch it on again. This is not a problem but shall be managed by writing down the IP you are using on which account if you have more than one. Try not to cross-use IPs between accounts and you are fine.

Standard Bt modem, but i have A separate laptop for other accounts, but can use my bt for 1 account because it is a new provider, just thought it was odd my IP changing without me switching the modem off

That is a bit odd without switching the modem off.

It should not change when you turn of your computer.

Maybe try doing a router reset to see if that fixes your problem or one day when you are a bit bored and have some time, ring BT and ask them, but they take ages and are a bit clueless sometimes which is why I mentioned 'bored' & 'some time' :)

Also, you can use your same BT provider for use with a few accounts, you just need to keep track of the ip addresses you use on each account.
