Does anybody live in Tenerife?
 

Hey guys, asking this just because I'm moving to Tenerife to spend the winter.
But found it quite hard to find a place to rent for ~3 months period.

Searched all kinds of agencies, sites, etc. And they do have some nice apartments with decent pricing, but mainly they're interested in a long term rent (like 6-12 months at least).
So either they do not bother to respond at all or the properties are occupied already.

Would really appreciate some suggestions on that. :)

Yeah.. but no luck so far. Thing is that these upcoming holidays are bringing many tourists there so it's one of the most busy months of the year (december).
Will probably have to couchsurf until january or smth.. :D

the arab countries are out of fashion now - eg. Egypt, tunisia etc...people have diverted and so Canaries is getting even more traffic than before....and as it is a Winter destination compared to most of Europe, it is packed with Brits and Germans, Skandis and everyone else....

thought of the other islands....? Lanzarote, Fuerteventura etc

Yep, definitely agree with you. Thought about other islands but most ppl recommended to stay in Tenerife.

Oh well, hope I'll find something. :)

you have been mis-informed, tenerife has its good points, but it is not necessarily the best island.....you should give the others a chance, I have been to them all several times, like most of us Brits......and I have a friend with a place in Jandia, i go to alot, lovely dunes....

Definitely! Probably will be staying in a cave.. so anyone who likes extremes are welcome. :D

I lived in Tenerife for 19 years prior to moving to Thailand, I also know someone who lives in a cave in Tenerife, ...I am not joking.

Search on Facebook for Tenerife pages regarding renting, you'll pick something up there.
