anyone know a good (free preferably) remote desktop software?
 

does anyone now a remote desktop that is compatible with vista?? seems like it's hard to find one to use.

here is what i was thinking, if you have a relative or friend that lives in another city/state and they are willing to let you use their ebay/paypal account, you can use remote desktop to log into their computer and go to ebay/paypal.

I tried that once.. had some of my workers in China work on my eBay accounts via remote desktop and it worked, but the connection was pretty slow.

I forgot what software we were using though..

I use Logmein now, and it's okay. I can connect to my desktop with my iPhone.

will logmein work with vista?

Yeah, I use it for Vista.

VMware works with Vista and it is free.

If logmein doesn`t work, try Radmin. I used it for Vista and was satisfied. It is free for 30 days, after this period they will ask you $49 for a life-time license.

i'm not able to get radmin to work....not sure why, it can never connect to the remote ip.

Try this site, under products tab chose "Logmein Free"

It's incredible, Ive used it to command my computer from different points of the country w/o problems. It is as if you are sitting in front of your PC.

radmin didn't work for me

a friend of mine uses team viewer. It seems to be ok. he had some issues with it not refreshing correctly and crashing. but for free you can't really expect much.
