these westernized films for some reason always depicts asian men in such a negative light......like they are always the bad guy or evil one.......
and generally the white guy is always the good guy who has to save the beautiful asian girl........
i am assuming its because asians in general only make up 5% of the us population......
the other 90% who are white probably want to always see the white guy get ahead......
if you watch a asian film.....made directly from china with asian writers and directors......the films are very very different....I have seen some jackie chan films where the white men are the bad guys trying to come in and take precious asian artifacts....
actors are generally consistent all chinese descent........
whereas in crazy rich asians......you got japanese, koreans, filipino, chinese, malaysians.......and somehow they are all related...... |
