Does Anyone Have Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator Heart Failure
My doctor wants my little brother to have one for "just in case" is the reason.
He has dilated cardiomyopathy and is 33 years old.
His EF was 25% in 2004 and when I went for echocardiogram last year 2008 – his EF was 34%
His doctor has wanted him to get one since 2004 - He is scared that his life will change - He will feel this in body, etc, etc.
He is also concerned about cancer – reason being this is in his system and his blood is running around it.
If you have a Defibrillator can you please tell me about your experience - about the operation - how long it took to recover - and how things are going now.
