Stripe asked for photo ID, can Ohip card work?

I have been using stripe to take credit cards payments for a while.
All of a sudden, stripe asked me to upload a government photo ID before they can send me my money.
I am from Canada.
Is anyone from Canada using stripe as well?
If I upload an OHIP card, will they accept it?

They say they accept a passport, identity card, or driver license. I don't want to upload a passport or driver license because someone can use it to apply for credit cards easily.

By the way, Equifax should be out of business.

Might as well give it a shot - I havent tried using health cards for ID submission but it has your photo and info so why not

I THINK you are allowed to use it as ID.

I know it can't be used at clubs or to buy alcohol or cigarettes, for obvious reasons.

I'm not from Canada but once I had reached a certain amount I had to upload my id to Stripe too. I used my passport and haven't had any issues since I uploaded which was last year :)

Not "often" - actually, always :)

@OP, what's the result on your end?
