Notice how they conveniently leave out the part where your sales are slashed almost to 0... :nono:
Edit: just noticed I spelled sweep wrong. You know what I meant. |
Re: According to eBay sellers are loving managed payments! Hah phaz - comedic value :) |

For Ayden? What makes you say that? |

| ebaystealth1974 | 11-02-2018 10:19 AM | Re: According to eBay sellers are loving managed payments! I can't imagine that being near the truth. you can still pay through Ayden with PP... at least on Etsy. Hopefully not different on EB. |

Sellers who accept the Adyen invite on eBay lose the ability to accept any (ebay) PP payments at all. It's exactly the same as using a merch account, pretty much.
If you buy from an Adyen-enabled seller you're taken to eBay checkout where the only option is to enter your CC # and pay that way. I should've screenshotted the guy I bought from last week. No mention of PP anywhere on the page. Looks the same as when buyers buy from our big account. |
| phaz0rz | 11-02-2018 10:28 AM | Re: According to eBay sellers are loving managed payments! I just read something on the eBay forums about Paypal eventually being added as an Adyen payment method. But as of now, it's CC only. |

Phuck that, then lol
Oh well, at least I'll finally be able to use my PP card on ebay though! :hail: |

No danger of eBay leaving it like that, though... they need sales! | Still though even then all sellers will be forced to use Adyen. They'll integrate PP as a payment option eventually for buyers but, if they stick to what they've been saying, all payments will be intermediated and disbursed by eBay.
Hopefully they'll backtrack and allow sellers to continue using PP for payments but I doubt it. They're too invested now. :violin: |

| SaiJin | 11-07-2018 11:09 AM | Re: According to eBay sellers are loving managed payments! Well only a fool would trust what eBay says.
They might as well say that sellers love the way they let buyers win all their disputes. |

| agent006140 | 07-02-2019 01:24 PM | Re: According to eBay sellers are loving managed payments! Etsy is now taking its fee from the customer payment,in the past your net would be whatever the order amount is less credit card fee and you pay your Etsy fee at the end of the month, now it will be less credit card fee and Etsy fee and relisting fee .
I wonder if Ebay will do the same. |

one reason sellers are fond of Paypal is the use of Paypal debit card which gives you 1 - 1 1/2% cash rebate if used as a credit card.
This card taps your Paypal fund backed by your bank fund.
When I bought a house and need to buy whatnot,I like to use the card to buy fans, lamps, carpets etc and get the 1 1/2% cash rebate.
I do the same with buying plane tickets,1 1/2 % of $2200 is $33,enough to dine well in an airport restaurant.
But now CAPITAL ONE gives me 2%,I dont need Paypal debit card.
But there are other reasons why sellers like PAYPAL,hide their money from their spouse !!!!!!!!!!!! |
| walkingupwards | 07-05-2019 06:51 PM | Re: According to eBay sellers are loving managed payments! eBay seems to be always on the look for new ways to rock a going boat, but I don't blame them, they are a publicly traded company and have hungry strangers (investors) to feed.
Always tweaking the searching algorithm and collaterally damaging existing sellers' sales in the hope of "improving" the buying experience...etc |
| agent006140 | 07-05-2019 09:59 PM | Re: According to eBay sellers are loving managed payments! We are buyers as well as sellers, never find my buying experience to have improved.
But I think Ebay chose Ayden as it is no longer a growth stock, and is looking for extra change ! |
| agent006140 | 07-05-2019 10:00 PM | Re: According to eBay sellers are loving managed payments! Someone said Ayden will send sales proceeds to our bank account daily?
is this an option we can OPT out |

In the UK, if you send out an item that requires a signature but the recipient wasn't in at the time of attempted delivery, the postman will record it on the tracking but eBay will count it against you as late delivery.
One way to get out of this would be to scan every item at the post office but it is not practical for business sellers shipping tons of items.
Many sellers deduced they could remedy the situation by waiting until they could confirm delivery before uploading tracking.
eBay has recently said we must upload tracking before the due date. If we fail to do so, an INR case will count against us and will be ruled in favour of the buyer even if the buyer signed for the item on the due date.
This is just one of many things they do that is so wrong.
Someone is going for our TRS but don't have the testosterone to come clean.
As for the UI, forget it. The team responsible should be forced into an insane asylum. |
| agent006140 | 07-06-2019 10:38 PM | Re: According to eBay sellers are loving managed payments! I have not noticed my buying experience has improved,in fact it is worse now that I have to wade thru pages and pages of AMZN pictures, wondering if I will get a package from AMZN instead of the Ebay seller?
after I decide to buy from one ebay seller,I will copy his title and search on AMZN to see if I am overpaying for the item on Ebay |

I see you are still dreaming up an extra 50% cash back on the PP debit card fee lol |

I get 1 1/2% but I am getting 2% elsewhere so that card is now shelved. |
| agent006140 | 07-15-2019 09:49 AM | Re: According to eBay sellers are loving managed payments! i posted this question somewhere and no one seems to respond.
IRS audit goes back 7 years, state sales tax audit can be 4-6 years,if we are audited,we will need our data from both Ayden and Paypal.
Will Ayden provide the same kind of service as Paypal?
In a state sales tax audit, you need to show the auditor where the buyers are ,and the best way to show is to download Paypal histroy showing buyer address (state and zipcode),without such, the state would assume all your sales are with state residents and if you have not collected sales tax from them, you pay.
you may have your own record, like sales ledger electronic or paper, but auditor may not accepted them. |
| phaz0rz | 07-15-2019 12:01 PM | Re: According to eBay sellers are loving managed payments! Way outside the scope of this forum. That's why nobody is answering.
In your own words... "go ask on EBAY SUPPORT FORUM". |
| agent006140 | 07-15-2019 02:06 PM | Re: According to eBay sellers are loving managed payments! thanks,I will do so.
SInce few like Ayden, this would be a good discussion on paypal vs ayden.
But most people dont think that far until tax time or they get audited | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 07:05 PM. | |
