US residency

a relative of mine wants to live in US, but doesnt fit criteria of having a work or relative sponsor or buy a business etc, no rare skills. He has a family and a good job, income and post degree education, and about $1 million to buy a house, wants to start a business there but doesnt want to be forced to employ people or buy a business just for sake of residency..

so any ways round entry criteria?

Green card lottery, but then if relative was born and lives in UK he's not eligible for applying atm

He/She needs to find someone to marry. Finance visas take about six weeks to process.

i have to go with tmiles' idea .. its pretty common for people to do this,, even though they are married, some people do it for a fee, technically nothing illegal about it.. waiting for that green card lottery can have him waiting up to 10 years, maybe more

Maybe he should enroll in a higher education institution and try the student visa route. This guy needs to be flexible. You cannot just want to immigrate to the US, but not want to buy a business, get married, or go to school. Otherwise, you have to play the Green Card lotto.

Unless, he wants to swim the river on out southern border...LOL....
