ipad change of mind and wiped
 

thought I would make a thread to get this section going, although still unsure if it is shop talk or everything else or both

so, about a change of mind return for an ipad.

I bought myself a new ipad but then my family member got a new one and gave me their repaired one, and that is all I need anyway. So I want to get my money back on my own one.

Normally or strictly speaking it has to be unused. But what if it was used a little and then wiped, apple id had been added but then it all was reset............will the store know that, is there a way of them cross-checking?

As long as its functional and not damaged looking you should be good to go.

I would think only apple would bother to know that your cloud was once on it. And even then, people sell their ipads all the time.

As long as its not stolen, you should be fine. :thumb:

If you've activated an iPad, then the warranty has started. It's not just iPad, any Apple product that is. Using its serial number, you can then see this device has already been, technically speaking, used.

yes, I thought that too in the end. So I kept it, they could check with apple I guess.
