Institution asking for docs
 

Not a harmful item, but misr3pr3sentati0n in this situation is ill3g4l. This was shipped to an institution from personal website. They are asking for certain docs (not invoices) after it shipped as it will be part of something used by paying customers...

I hide in plain sight so... I'm easily found. Avg consumer takes everything at face value, smart ones are rare and trouble.

Phake and hope they dont follow up on contact info on doc after handed out? Only a simple phone call to verify.

Ignore, cant disprove something without something to be disproven? Asking for my phone # to talk wholesale program which isnt provided and they are many states away.

Claim docs were provided by supplier? Scapegoat if goes south... another can of worms.

Or play dumb? Dumb people are forgivable.

Ough, that it is.

I'm going to ignore I think... least amount of negative outcomes, though no communication just looks sketchy AF. Just hope the purchasing manager doesn't hold themselves accountable for docs.... they most likely are. BLEH!!

So they already bought from you and want docs after the fact..

If it were me there's two possible ways I'd handle it depending on a ton of different factors.
a) ignore their request and have them send the item(s) back if it comes to that
b) fabricate an invoice and have a number you control be the contact #.

Naturally b would take a decent amount of social engineering and could still end very badly if they accept your fabricated docs as legit and then start moving your products down their supply chain.

Thanks man. a) sounds good.... b) would be great too. If they contacted the verifying party about the # for the product and found it was incorrect, the verifying party would now be involved - and they're g 0 v...

Return would be nice... very, very nice.

Haha :) My apologies for the indirectness, intentionally not eluding to what they're requesting. The possible outcomes of the situation are the same in principal.
