There's a lot of reading to do, if having an ACTUAL 4K projector means something to you. Some of the faux 4K projectors display a nice image, though! | Fark, really? Alright. That's some marketing bull. Cmon BTC, buy me a 4k projector! Lol

True 4k were pretty expensive last time I looked. I can't imagine an image nice than the one my 3 year old 1080P puts out.
Especially when I play a 4k movie on it. Oblivion looks amazeballs on it! |

I think the smartphone industry has hit its plateau. Now they're realizing it is all about the software and not the hardware. I love that business model to be honest, you release a phone and make it obsolete 3 or 4 years after its release simply by updating its software.
I was kinda worried that smartphones will no longer exist in the future and thus my niche will be dead. I realized I was wrong big time as soon as I looked into future potential replacements (e.g: smart glasses, smart watches, VR...etc). | I definitely asked for it, and will be buying one no matter the cost. I like the idea of having an all in one device. This is a phone & tablet that I can also use as a desktop/laptop. It has more features I need than any other phone at the moment.

I think it's possible to attach a chromecast 4k and stream to the projector right from your phone. I run my entire house/biz network from my phone xD

Go as big as you can! 100" isn't really all that big... try to do 130ish, at least.
That's the equivalent of FOUR 65" TVs on your wall. That's what I have...

The diff between 1080p upscaled and 4k is negligible. Totally worth a 1k investment right now cause 8k resolution is nearing pointless lol.

I can see 8k for VR maybe. Something super close to the eye. That's about it right now.

Gotcha. Yeah only matters if you have a big screen. 4k on a 50" TV is almost pointless, unless you sit 3 feet from it.
But 4k would look unreal on a 130" screen.
Just like 8k would be beneficial on a 200"+ screen.

I have a True 4k Sony projector and dedicated 'dark' room with a 110" screen to watch movies on. Made sure to paint the walls and ceiling a nice dark navy blue (non reflective of course).
Im rocking 9.2 surround with Atmos for sound.
I still go to the theater but when I watch it at home the image quality is better at this point for the simple reason the image is pretty much the same resolution (in some cases better) than that projected in a theater - only on a much bigger screen which results in what I consider a far 'grainer' image.
Just wish there was more content for 4k. As it is I watch all my favorite shows on it. Watching the 3rd episode of GoT (that dark battle episode) was real nice on this screen(even if it was only 1080p).

What brand did you like best? I'm looking at the epsons cause the lense shift feature can move the screen vertically 96% without distortion and almost 50% horizontally which is perfect. May go with 5050UB.... |

I wonder if it's really got a quantum computer inside?
EDIT : Holy crap Batman, they want $69,999.99 for the 98" version and it'll be a $500 TV in 10 years.
EDIT2 : Sony has a 16K TV but the screen is 783 inches. :/

I have a feeling qantum computing is gonna be hyperthreading on steroids. Last I read we've got little idea how it works, but we know how to get it to work. That's always good, lol.
