eBay Alternatives

Are there any alternatives besides Craigslists? I know there's the Kiiiwii, but that's for Canada, need one for US and the rest of the world.

Craigslist? What are you selling, old lawnmower parts? lol

It's nowhere close to an alternative to eBay.

Re: eBay Alternatives

Etsy is the closest, but it really depends on what your selling.

Other niche sites exist like Rubylane for collectibles etc

Open Bazar seems to be a good option. The only payment method is Btc. Not sure about the traffic but many people already know it.

you'd be surprised what sells on Craigslist.
But then there are plenty of fraud !

DISAGREE,sites like AMZN,WMT,TGT keep innovating ,but what have Ebay done lately?
TGT will sell Disney items which were once exclusively sold in DIS stores,it will also power ToyRUS website.
AMZN offers prime same and next day shipping and prime video, prime music, what does Ebay offer?

It depends on what you sell,Mother's day is coming so you may get a few sales.
But people are not spending, they could be out of a job,or already out of a job.
What I HAVE sold so far on Ebay are practical stuff like bird seeds, summer clothes, tire inflator, supermarket coupons, used electronics, unused toothbrushes, new or samples, toothpaste, dental tapes I dont need

of course I can,I can see you are not selling much, thats why you have so much time to post irrelevant posts

I see people selling on FB.
I dont sell much on Ebay as I dont list much, but I do very well on Etsy.
lower FVF,better buyers and better prices

Sad yet true'ish - Amazon can be a pain with accusations though

How about gumtree? Is that an option?

DENDEN76 03-02-2021 08:38 AM

Re: eBay Alternatives

Gumtree and craigslist are classifieds sites. Theres a lot of work and risk involved when trying to complete a transaction.

Try Facebook marketplace they even accept payments on your behalf and charge minimal fees

Re: eBay Alternatives

Amazon and Ebay are the only real good platforms right now, Etys a distant 3rd. There is no question that there is not enough competition and too many monopolies

Ah, its real only good for buyers to collect and that limits your audience by alot, maybe okay for selling a car or boat, but cant see someone driving 100+ miles to buy a book or a T-shirt

lol i know this is an old post, but wow, what an insane statement to make. Amazon will go down, while ebay survives? I have no idea what could possibly happen, that would ever destroy amazon. Maybe broken apart. But even then, amazon is heads and shoulders a better company than ebay.
