Has your business been affected by the trade war?
 

How is it going for your business nowadays? Are you now paying more to import stuff from China? If yes, has it affected your sales at all?

I tried to stay away from Chinese goods,too much competition,it is a classic case of race to the bottom.

There are a few sectors losing billions. Personally no, at least not drastically - yet.

Importers are passing the tariffs onto consumers, though. It will cost households more each year now to buy consumer goods. Mini fridge prices are 25% higher than last year for an example. If you aren't impacted as a business you still are as a consumer.

I did about 8 months ago. It all just got to be too much. I was spending more time researching meaningless political stuff than doing anything else.

No joke.. I'm 10x happier now. :cheer:

I have many news sites blocked on both my laptop and my phone.

if you are a Chinese national with an advance degree in technology,you would find it harder to find a job in US.
Some chip companies would see less sales,AMD,NVDA,QCOM ,also APPL,GOOGLE and more.
As to washer.dryer,fridge,sneakers,clothese,shoes,look around,many of us have m ore to last us a long time

I now pay a tariff on many things. It costs me for every 10k about $47.00 more....and the majority of that is the fee I have to pay for processing the paperwork.

It mostly effects raw material importers. A 70k 5th wheel camping trailer now costs $850 more than it did last year. A 70k 3/4 ton truck may cost up to $400 more depending on a few things.

Now a plastic slide for a child's play-set imported from Canada with material coming from China, yea....those Chinese manufacturers are screwed. There is no reason those have ever been made in china as far as a cost of manufacturing standpoint.

PAA has to pay $45 millions for the import steel from Greece,the order was placed before the tariff

you know why raw material,aka steel ,aluminium?
Can you imagine going to war and dial up China,Korea for more steel?
Or order parts from Poland,Mexico and watch their railroad and airports bombed?
And dont talk about NAFTA when their trucks are worn and drivers dont speak no English?

and cant count on GERMANY to make more steel,as they have become the delivery boy for Russian natual gas !

Spend more time watching the dogs and looking after them when I am home.
