Bitcoin

I have seen on lots of web sites they accept bitcoin as well as payment. Paying via bitcoin and receiving via bitcoin keeps both buyer and seller under redar.

How can I start off with bitcoin? Where Do I get these from? and I assume there would be a kind of conversion when paying via bitcoin. Say seller selling something for £50 and accept £50 worth of bitcoin.

Re: Bitcoin

You need to signup with and exchange first so you can convert currency into bitcoin. Since you are completely new I would recommend starting with one of the big sites like Coinbase.com

One they have validated your account you can purchase bitcoin straight from your card.

Remember bitcoin value can go up and down!

Re: Bitcoin

Localbitcoinn and Coinbase are the 2 easiest

Localbitcoin is an exchange
Coinbase is more like PayPal

Re: Bitcoin

one bitcoin value is £6872, Mind blowing. That means if you are to pay someone via bitcoin, first you have to create bitcoin account then buy bitcoin and then pay from that there.

Then I realize there is no charge backs, what if you have paid someone for item/services/digital item and he/she says have not received or pulls back, you have no leg to stand. You have lose. There is no way you get your bitcoin back.

What do you think

I suppose people use bitcoin to hide identities and stay under umbrella. But then this comes with risk

VERY simplistic way to look at bitcoin. Sounds like you have a lot to learn.
From what you write it sounds like youre not aware of the fact that you can buy a fraction of a bitcoin. Those are called 'Satoshi' and are equal to 0.00000001 Bitcoin.
And yes the payment is not reversible - so deal with reputable people ONLY. Me as a seller - I LOVE it.

Re: Bitcoin

Yes, they cant ask for there money back basically which is awesome for sellers, only thing is btc and alt coins are very volatile so you might want to either:

keep your btc and sell when it pumps (so you make more $$)
sell asap to have the actual fiat value of the item you sell.

Or just burn with other purchases...
