National healthcare, yes but the waiting period and other logistics can be annoying. Paying out of your pocket for the private fee-for-service health care providers makes the process quite quicker

Here in USA,we have Medicare and Medicaid.
Neither of them pay doctors much,some doctors who do well serving patients who have private insurance policy wil say we dont take any new Medicare patients. and they sure dont take Medicaid.

we have more and more foreign doctors now-the last time I saw an American doctor ,must be 15 years ago?

Some foreign doctors are great, some aren't - American dream...

same goes with American doctor!
A friend of mine went to see a Chinese doctor in Chinatown,she looked at the list of prescription drug he takes daily (15),and told him with proper diet,exercise,he could eliminate half of them !
Of course he wont listen as his employer paid for them,now he is looking for kidney transplant !
