The fact they made contact you at all is a huge concern. I would have my attorney on speed dial the second they knocked on my door.

The police want you to think it's no big deal. Seriously, if it really isn't, then why did they pay you a visit in the first place?

Exactly. They are “ nice” to elicit the information they want.

As for the German Police, I would be cautious of any dealings with them.

Lol, that is obvious that if you put too much in your bank, you will get spotted and investigated as banks are required to report you to IRS when you have a considerable turnover in your account depending on the local laws.

In our country laws are that banks report to the IRS if an account has an annual turnover more than 15k euros, but in reality, they report already at 10k. But a funny workaround is there - just have an account in every bank in the country, and put 9900 euros in each, and nobody will ever hunt you. Maybe, there is some similar thing in your country.

Everything will be fine my friend, everyone has experienced this. I was very nervous about it. But I think everyone has to go through it. By the way, regarding the topic of money, I recently read an interesting and very informative article on this site https://investedwallet.com/financial-freedom/ . I started to look at money in a completely different way, I really wanted to learn how to spend money properly, I was unfortunately a huge spender. But now I've started to distribute my money differently, and I've finally achieved the financial freedom I wanted. How do you spend your money? I just always try to save as much as possible for the future.

Indeed, many young people must learn how to spend money properly, and don't be so spending. I often see people who don't live according to their budget and then look for the guilty ones and ask for help from the state and everyone around.

It happens a lot. You should have consulted the bank's specialist and found out all the circumstances of such a case, but I can tell you a few guesses. Basically, all banks have rules and limits on how much cash you can withdraw per month or year. Otherwise, the situation and the law could be like yours. If it even got to the police, get help from a lawyer. I'm sure you can be pulled out of it. I recently looked into https://www.calxa.com/cash-flow-scenarios-to-mitigate-a-crisis and learned everything I need to know about finance and the general rules of this money world.

Not really, they need to know the source otherwise it could be illegitimate funds. They are financial institutions, they need to comply with the law (just as individuals/businesses) do.
