some malls are alive and well
 

This weekend ,I went to some malls in the city.
I need some repair work done on a watch and there are not many who know how to do it,first one is packed with Vietnamese shops and Vietnamese shoppers.
They cant do it but they all urge me to go to another mall,they said plenty of people there know how to do it?
This cant be true,but I go there anyway.
The mall is alive and well with hispanic and Asian shops and Hispanic shoppers,did not see any Asian shoppers.
I see plenty of shops,booths which will repair your broken phone screen,replace your battery,sell you a trip to Cuba,mango icecream cone,10k,14k,18k gold chains and pendants and cap your teeth with gold but no watch man ,he does not working on Sunday.
Well,I suspect what they all do is take my watch to the same person upstairs who can repair my watch,this person does not work on Sunday.
But I am glad there are still some malls which are alive and well,enjoying good traffic.

It that unusual for a shopping mall to be busy on a weekend where you live?

The closest one from me is actually dead,and it is huge upscale one,anchor stores like Macy,SEARS ,Bed bath etc have left,then others left because they dont get traffic .
But these two ethnic malls are striving,yo can say may be they are not internet savvy OR their homes are crowded and it is better to go elsewhere than stay home??
