how do retirees living on fixed income deal with low/zero interest rate environment?
 

For those who dont have a sizable portfolio of stocks and bonds,pension and SS,annuities,how do they deal with low interest rate environment?
Fed is expected to cut rate again next week?
Dont tell me they can sell on EBay,what they had worth selling are sold by now,some are according to Jim Grant,are searching for quarters in their sofas,under the cushions,or old purse/handbags,jackets they have not used or worn.in their closet.
As a kid,we found plenty of change in our mother's closet,she owns many matching shoes and handbags and in each handbag,there is a coin purse and we found dimes,nickels and quarters.

stocks and bonds tomorrow may also depreciate and become garbage
nothing in the world is ever-changing

you must be referring to those who have been on welfare for generations,grandma can be in her 30s ,can still make babies,and daughters can make more babies.
Together they can live quite well with large TV sets,lobsters and King crab legs for din din.
