At night,it will get out of the tub and hid somewhere,in the morning he will emerge ,go someplace where there is sun and sunbathe to bring up its body temperature and reinforced its shell.I finally released it,it is probably back in the receiving pond.
If I can find one, there must be more, but so far I have not seen any, there are holes along the bank, about 1 inch wide, what are those holes?
There are also larger ones, red sliders can grow to 15-18 inches long and you see them bathing under the sun on dry dock.
There are snakes and probably frogs and fish, snails there, and after rainfall ,many white egrets feasting in shallow water, where do I find another red slider, pet shops cannot sell them until they reach liek 4 inches?
should I look into those holes? |
