"That is a very significant finding," Dr. Ashish K. Jha, director of the Harvard Global Health Institute, told CNN's "New Day" on Wednesday.
"Somebody who died on February 6, they probably contracted that virus early to mid-January. It takes at least two to three weeks from the time you contract the virus and you die from it."
If they did not contract coronavirus through travel abroad, that also is significant, Jha said.
"That means there was community spread happening in California as early as mid-January, if not earlier than that," Jha said.
"We really need to now go back, look at a lot more cases from January -- even December -- and try to sort out when did we first really encounter this virus in the United States," Jha said.

They lied and kept it to themselves. Don't water it down by saying they informed the rest of the world late - which was also intentional.
They're also lying about their numbers.
If you can't run a Lab or wet market without letting out a virus, then it's time to shut both down - but no! The wet markets in China are already starting to re-open.
SARS, Bird flu, Hong Kong flu, Asian flu and now this Wuhan virus have all come from China
I can't be kind about this. Only a sick country would maintain a needless habit that has killed millions of people worldwide.
The world needs to make China pay a hefty price for this one. I'm glad countries are beginning to consider this.
Your comment above deflecting blame from China is a gross disrespect to the thousands who have just died, their families, frontline medical staffs who put their lives in danger and Governments around the world who have been suddenly thrust into chaos. |

There are rumors about the labs indeed but we have digged everything about it when we were locked home during February, even including the educational background and marriage secret of the lab director.
The result turned out they are idiots but not covid-19 creators.
There is another rumor saying the source of the virus is an US laboratory, in Fort Detrick, which leaked several times before. It was closed in last August for safety problem, but reopened recently. Anyway it is still a mystery, no evidence yet. |

When I heard the virus was brought into China by American soldiers who participated the 7th CISM Military World Games in Wuhan last October, one month before the virus broke out in Wuhan, I thought same like you.
But after things past, you will think more peacefully and reasonably, so I suggest you give it some time, don't be angry, which is useless now.
About your words saying all virus are sourcing from China, that's untrue. I suggest you read history. That comment is disrespect to China too. |

| LOL china recovered? Based on what? By the way, how you enjoying that new outbreak you guys got? Still think you've recovered? Our government is doing just fine protecting people. Unlike China, we won't be welding anyone into their homes. We'd rather die than give up our rights to that extent. And if anyone every truly tries, they'd be shot long before they got their first weld done.
