I do write a few checks now and then and find myself running low on checks.
My bank wants almost 40 dollars to print me some new checks,so I find an online site which would do it for 1/4 of the fee.
I filled out the bank routing number,account number ,name and address and paid with my credit card.
Done!
I recall at one time,they want to see a voided copy of your check to make sure you are honest.
Now there is no such request?
Does it mean I can print any body check as long as I know his account number?

Yes. All I've needed was the routing and account number the last couple of times I've ordered checks.

Dangerous implications if you are implying "his" is not yourself...just saying

People have used this type of loophole to cash out checks from Paypal which were made out to the wrong name when they arrived.

There was a time some foreigners and we all know which country they are from,will ask to pay you by check and you give them your bank account and routing number.
Then they go to their 'local printer' and have them print up some checks with your bank account and routing number and go shopping .

come to think of it,our local Kroger store will sell you money order for 60 cents,ifyou just need to write checks a few times a year,itis cheaper to just buy a money order,I will check to see if it is 60 cents,.
