it was GREAT! |
| vers0 | 10-09-2007 08:59 PM | Aspkins, you seem to have been around awhile selling things on the internet; maybe you could answer this for me. You recommend people create their own website and then sell on it. Have you known people to get away with selling counterfeit item on their site without any legal problems. I was just wondering if the BIG companies also monitor the web as much as they do eBay. I think it would take a lot more effort to monitor the web. Any thoughts? |
| aspkin | 10-09-2007 10:10 PM | I've seen sites hit with cease and desist letters all the time for doing something you're not supposed to do. It's probably not as bad as eBay, but it does happen. |
| Chris Hanson | 10-09-2007 10:52 PM | Vers0,
The trick is to move your site on a overseas server/hosting company |
| aspkin | 10-10-2007 05:31 AM | Haha, yeah that'll work, but those hostings are a bit more expensive. |
| spike1 | 10-10-2007 09:50 AM | how's the ebook coming aspkin? last i heard you were at 10% |
| aspkin | 10-11-2007 01:15 AM | It's about 30%-40% now. Son of a bitch!
It'll be worth it though. I'm sure you guys, especially Jack would appreciate it. |
| aspkin | 10-11-2007 03:07 AM | Jacks alright. We just have to finish the FAQ section and it'll help everyone with their questions. |
| spike1 | 10-11-2007 12:16 PM | what? we don't get a free copy of the ebook? lol!
you're getting a little cryptic in your response
"The only way around this is creating both new eBay and Paypal accounts, but the problem with that is it's hard to create a legit Paypal account unless you're extra crafty.
But no fear, there are alternatives" |
| aspkin | 10-11-2007 05:37 PM | Yeah well.. There are many alternatives. I didn't want to just list one.
But yeah the eBook will be free to all members.
I just need more time. Its hard creating an eBook in a few weeks.. I don't think it's possible. But I'm trying my best. |
| spike1 | 10-11-2007 08:35 PM | YOU'RE KIDDING?
i was joking. no way did i think the ebook would be free!
cool aspkin.:D |
| spike1 | 10-12-2007 09:44 PM | woohoo!! i'm 'bout to get PAID beatriceses!!!! boy did i get some good news today!
had to go in to the CMS (basically medicare) office today to get authorization for one more catscan before the neurologist decides to do surgery or not. come to find out the state disability agency got my social security number wrong during the initial application process and i am/was eligible for benefits. turns out they owe me $450 a week for every week since i first went to the hospital back in May. they also will pay me that for up to one year total! not too much but not too bad either.
another good thing is that the neurologist suggested i start looking into alternative forms of medication. he said that although the prescription pain killers he has been giving me are better for long term than the others, they can still be damaging to my health. since i live in a certain state, there have been recent changes in the law that allow use of certain controlled substances for people in my condition. they have special "farmacies" (pharmacy) around town. thank god i paid taxes once.
woohoo!!!!! cough..cough... choke hey, it'll be perfectly legal.:D :D |
| Rosanna | 10-12-2007 09:55 PM | ;) Good for you Spike! Hey, any $ is better than no $, believe me I know. Your alternative meds sound great, God Bless.;) |
| aspkin | 10-13-2007 08:53 AM | That's awesome spike1, I hope the best for you! |
| Chris Hanson | 10-13-2007 02:43 PM | I remember when I got in a accident and broke my jaw(worst pain ever) and i had screws in my my gums ,mouth closed shut, I was prescribed liquid codine.
Mayne let me tell you, that stuff is addicting! I had the best feeling in the world when i took it. Even though I was only using it for my pain(which it knocked out right away ) , I also enjoyed the buzz. Its the best. Felt like I was floating..
I was semi addicted. Glad I wasn't full blown addicted. Luckly I am a drinker and got back to my regular routine(bars, clubs, college, girls and oh girls again) after my meds ran out.
But yeah I never thought someone could get addicted until I almost did. Now I know how people easily get addicted to meds.
Condine and Morphine creates the best high in the world! |

| Chris Hanson | 10-13-2007 03:18 PM | 99 Monte Carlo smoked a mustang on the track of that same kind. But yours looks heavily modded. So i probably would shy away from yours.
I' ll have to make up excuses at the track. I threw a tranny..lol YouTube - Monte Carlo vs. Mustang
But yeah thats a sweet mustang. I don't like the yellow though |
| aspkin | 10-13-2007 03:30 PM | Thanks thanks, it's a work in progress. |
| spike1 | 10-13-2007 08:26 PM | modee,
you hit the nail on the head with addiction. i have had problems in the past, with hardcore street drugs. that was over 10 years ago. still seems like yesterday. these vicodin extra strengths are an obvious gateway back to that life. by prescription i should take up to 6 a day! i know that is way too much and try to never take that many. there have been a couple of days when the pain was killing me so i got close to that amount.
i try not to take them everyday and on those off days i drink. hell on most days i drink! i will get pretty good and tossed 2-3 days in a row then stop for a week. problem is, how does one deal with crazy pain? pain like i have never experienced in my life because it is constant. a usual headache throbs. mine are constant and at the top of the throb wave. all day every day since MAY. i have never had problems with headaches until this recent incident.
i do think that this alternative "medicine" is a better, more natural solution. it grows from the ground and is not processed in any way. i have used it in the past. it is truly NOTHING compared to the stuff that destroyed my life so many years ago. denial?! at this point, if i am still here next year, that's all that matters.
thanks for the concern and good wishes everybody!:D :D |
| spike1 | 10-13-2007 10:09 PM | actually the doctor already tried the "pain is from the withdrawal of medication" not it. take a look at my most recent catscan and you'll see why.
i have no idea what happened either. just woke in bed late one night with a crazy headache. i went to the bathroom and vomited then sat in the shower for two hours. not having any health insurance i waited 8 days before going to the ER. the pain was constant the whole time. by the time i went to the ER i had not slept in 6 days. i was pretty much hallucinating from lack of sleep.
go to the ER and they let me right in. kept asking me if i was hearing voices but i said no. the hallucinations were more like hearing someone moving around in the other room or thinking the phone was ringing all the time.
doctor checked me out and was not concerned until he shinned his little flash lite in my eyes. after that he sent me for my first ever catscan. as i was being brought back to the ER room bed i was in i notice the curtain was pulled and their were two new nurses there. both in red from top to bottom. right away they asked had i talked to the doctor since the catscan. "no, i am just being wheeled back in here now. hello?"
they put me in bed and closed the curtain. the doctor came right in and the first thing he said was (i will never forget this) "Mr. blank, you may notice the hospital staff around you acting differently. that is because you are in critical condition and might die."
anyway, that is as much as i am going to post here. |
