Rules Of The Forum. What Are They And How Do The Points Work

well, looks like they are starting to hand out infractions on some kind of point system.

how does it work and what are the rules?

i see a couple of user that have "level 1 (or 3) restrictions" above their avatars. what does this mean? what happens when you get an infraction? can you still post?

can you get an infraction for bad spelling or grammer?

aspkin?

aspkin 10-04-2007 09:35 PM

Points 1-4 are warnings.

Points 5-9 is a Level 1 Restrictions and limits your ability to post new threads. You can do everything else; just you can't post new threads.

Points 10-14 is Level 2 Restrictions and limits you ability to post anything new. You can do everything else except posting.

Points 15-20 is Level 3 Restrictions and basically limits everything. You can't view or post in the forums.

Points 20 or higher is a permanent ban.

All points can expire and bring you back to 0, but it depends on the moderator.

do you alert people when their post is deleted?

aspkin 10-25-2007 12:35 AM

Lol lol lol.

imjustme 10-25-2007 07:32 PM

I recommend an infractions system for people who post the same crap over and over in every thread.

These are reserved for repeat offenders only.

Ill show you a repeat offender... :D

Modee/Aspkin

Maybe it would be a good idea if you post explanation of the points system along with the examples of infractions and repercussions in the FAQ section.

Up until today I never knew what offense I had to commit to get an infraction.

Just my two cents

mantisinc 05-22-2008 01:06 PM

Yea, I got an 20 point infraction slapped on me by modee a while back.

Was a little unfair, I didn't even ask him very nicely for it. :p

2eXclusiive 05-22-2008 01:52 PM

so a level 3 is pretty much a ban, correct?

Lisa B 05-22-2008 03:52 PM

What did you do mantis? do tell, so I don't do the same.
I like to joke around and I don't want to get penalized for that.

2eXclusiive 05-22-2008 08:54 PM

yea, i think its aright to joke around as long as you don't push it.

scouse12345 05-23-2008 09:49 AM

Aw! Modee don't remove informative posts now.. i was explaining for Lisa's benefit... that calling Modee.." a Wanker or a Knobhead", would incur plenty of points etc.. :) post fully justified, and Ever Sooo! Shurlish too remove it.. ;)

He asked if anyone would like an infraction, and I said yes. The tart.

mantisinc 05-23-2008 02:09 PM

It's nothing to do with me being a martyr. I just get a small sexual kick out of it. Like like you get out of giving them.

In fact this could turn into an adult product range.

mantisinc 05-23-2008 02:15 PM

Oh how wrong your assumptions were. ^^

GreenBean 05-23-2008 03:40 PM

You really don't know that much about the British then!
