| | | @NasterXchange | 02-04-2021 06:20 AM | Amazon founder Jeff Bezos will step down as CEO of Amazon You saw the news?
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos will step down as chief executive of the e-commerce giant. Net sales rose to $125.56 billion as consumers turned to the world's largest online retailer for holiday shopping, beating analyst estimates of $119.7.
It represented a 43% rise on the same period in 2019 as the COVID-19 crisis hammered physical retailers, forced a stampede to work from home and stoked demand for TV and movie downloads during lockdowns.
Amazon said revenues for 2020 as a whole came in at $386.1bn (£283bn) - up 38%
I would say that Amazon has been and is the BIGGEST WINNER from the covid-19 crisis.
What about your business guys? Did you see a rise or decline during this crisis?
Would you also step down soon as Jeff Bezos did? ;-) at which level would you step down?
I believe with this money in my account, I would step down too :-D |

And i'm not surprised by Amazon's success during the pandemic / lockdown. Jeff has made his money now it's time for him to dissapear and enjoy it. Let's just hope the IRS / HMRC go after Amazon first before the little man operating out of his garage / rented space. |

You such a grouch James | It's also his platform that has destroyed many small businesses. It's also his platform that got sellers to send in their supplier info or design specs, only to have amazon turn around and cut them out and or make their own products. It's also his platform that let sellers create a business and become reliant on amazon, only to be kicked off when they or the brand owners decide only they are allowed to sell those products now ( ask me how I know). It's also his platform that kept prices artificially low, until enough various competition was driven to bankruptcy, to where he could then turn around and raise prices, because he knew no one has a choice now. Lets not put him on a pedestal because some of us small garage operators were able to make some money. |

And while money doesn't have heart, the people that use it typically do. So we are able to understand what's going on, rather than getting on our knees to praise the all mighty Jeff lol | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 07:01 AM. | |
