Is verizon CDMA OR GSM?
 

I wanted to ask is verizon mobile gsm or cdma. I want to know since I want to buy a prepaid phone if it is gsm. I am going to unlock it and use it on a trip which I am going to another country. I do not want to bring my expensive phone with me.

Verizon is CDMA. Better get at&t boost or tmobile for gsm or aka sims card.

The blackberry storm is a hspa device. Which means it has cdma and gsm. I bought the blackberry storm from usa but it was locked to the verizon network. I unlocked it, and used it on my rogers network.

Yea but he said prepaid I think all verizon prepaid is cdma. Doughboy is yours prepaid or contract phone service?

Yes, they do not have prepaid blackberry storms but people sell them on ebay.

FYI, Boost Mobile does use SIMs but technically the network is not GSM, it's iDEN.

After paying sprint over $224 bucks a month for two years, I went to Boost mobile and pay only $50.00 a month for unlimited everything. Their data transfer is really slow though.

Look into the boostberry on ebay that what I have works great.
