Creditor taking fund from bank account without permission
 

Some one recently posted that MP ?? withdrew money from her bank account without her permission?

Just want to add this-
I use my AMEX Blue card to make purchases and I link my bank account to pay bills.
I always pay promptly when they send my statement via email ,using my linked bank account.
But I also opt to get a paper statement just for record keeping
Today I received a paper statement and I noticed a note -it said it will withdraw what I owe them from my bank account if it does not receive my payment by due date.
I did not opt for auto pay,so this is new to me,I dont recall seeing this notice in the past.
So it is true more people are late or default on their cc payment>
Does your cc issuer issue such warning??

hmm i dont think they can withdraw from your bank account without agreement in place.

i know up here in Canada they 100% cannot auto-withdraw unless you opt in for debit agreement. i suspect it's the same in usa - you better call your cc provider and see if you agreed to their withdrawal when you signed up for the card...

Thanks,I went to AMEX SITE and I did have autopay with my account,so I cancelled it.
