We are expecting 34 degrees and Home depot has run out of stock on many 'thingies'

2021 we have no electricity,no internet,no water ,just natural gas and land line.
But the modern gas stove has electronic panel,to turn on the gas oven,you need to use the panel and it is dead.
so the idea of turning on your gas oven to stay warm is DEAD !

I remember on the news there was some freak snow storm in some state where people froze to death in their cars and on the sidewalk...like geo storm

Happened a year ago in buffalo new York. I guess global warming is real... You're either freezing, drowning or dieing of heat stroke

Given I'm in Australia I won't be expecting a big freeze anytime soon. Lots of rain though.

I had some family there it was crazy. A few ppl were found in the street. I remember a lady found an old man outside an nursed him in her house for a week.

Meh...every winter is the same - some scary cold periods but they pass...some ppl always freeze to death whether homeless or mental issue or getting caught outside...keep calm and carry on
