Setting up a Tiktok US account
 

Hey

Im looking to set up a Tiktok US account. I dont live in the US currently. Im a music artist who wishes to post content to reach a US audience

Im thinking of a few options and would be great to get some feedback from the pros who've done it successfully on what would work :

1. Buy a US number from the TextMe app, use VPN with a dedicated IP (NordVPN) to register a Tiktok account, with the US number that I got via TextMe,
- via this way, as Ive created an account with a US number, if I post content using my wifi/data that is NOT in the US (I live in Malaysia), will my audience still reach the US?

Via this method, must I also get a US sim card on my phone (turned off GPS location, factory reset, etc), and then am I able to post content with my normal wifi/data thats in Malaysia, and reach US audiences?

2. My sister is going to the US next week. I can ask her to buy a US sim card, and then register a Tiktok US account while shes got the US sim card in her phone.

After she's done that, am I able to log in from Malaysia and start posting with my wifi/data here (turned off location/factory reset) and it'll be fine?
Since it would seem like Im from the US, but Im travelling in Malaysia

For the pros who've experienced this, please let me know your thoughts on either options!

Ive tried whereby I got someone to register a Tiktok US account for me, they were in the US, and when I logged in via VPN on a dedicated IP (NordVPN), I couldnt follow other accounts. Did Tiktok restrict my account?

I have heard of 4G proxies. So would that be necessary even if I've done option 2? Registering a Tiktok US account with a US sim card.

Furthermore, if I bring the US sim card back to Malaysia, and post using my local wifi/data, would I still need a 4G proxy?

If I do need a 4G proxy, which one is the optimum for Tiktok, residential IP or mobile IP?
I've also heard Tiktok being able to trace proxies. That true? If so, how to avoid that

NordVPN is so heavily used that your account likely was restricted.

waiting on other people with roaming experience on TikTok to post

not sure if US simcard will work with Malaysia, try to find private proxy provider

us simcard may work if roaming allowed but you will still get malaysian ip if you use it to connect to the net

Getting a TikTok US account and reliably reaching a US audience from Malaysia is difficult and carries risks. It will need a combination of luck, consistent high quality content and potentially significant costs in order to keep a 4G proxy. Your best bet is high quality content, organic growth strategies, and consider TikTok Ads.
