Lithium battery recycling facility on fire

A small town of under 5000 population in MO ,has a lithium battery recycling plant,fire broke out,did not have enough water to extinguish the fire,25 fire departments were called in.
Who wants to live nearby a recylcing plant?
Fire departments have now decided if an EV is caught on fire,just let it burn to death !

Lot of factors at play - price of the land...was the plant installed after the town already grew...incentives etc

I was watching Youtube and it shows a parking lot for repossessed cars,there are 2 separate parking lots for ICE and EV.
They park the EVs leaving a lot of space between them for fear if one catches fire,it could spread to the next one nearby.

Yea you can't put out an ev fire, just have to let it burn. There's a few fatalities in China with EVs. Families burnt alive in their cars after a small accident. All it takes is one cell to ignite
