laptop keyboard not working

anyone know why certain keys won't work on laptop keyboard.

I have a dell laptop and certain keys won't work.

I must admit I banged on the keyboard because I was upset that I couldn't remember the password. then I finally remembered.

I guess I'll have to take it to ubreakifix or sell as is.

I know with PC,they sell individual keys on Ebay,dunno about laptop

Keys like the letters? Like letter Q or letter R wont work? If so just need a new keyboard....

They are super cheap to replace

can you replace just the keyboard with laptop?
I know with PC,it is a separate device,I have found some new OEM keyboards cheap on Ebay.

Very easily its just attached by one cable at the back

Ebay has one category where sellers sell goods for parts and scraps and no INAD can be filed ,may be he can take a look there and buy an entire keyboard .
I have bought a few brand new OEM keyboard on Ebay,better quality .

Needs to be the right model though to fit the right PC needless to say

it's a dell precision m4500 I may sell it on ebay but it does have an i7 core processor in it. they came out in 2009 but the screen is really amazing looking. better than some newer laptop displays

I would still swap out the keyboard ileven if your going to sell it

I'm curious, why swap it before selling it? if you tell the bidders in the description that the keyboard has problems someone will still buy it

Some look for electronics to repair and resell,they may have parts for the laptop,just make sure you say so in your description.
