Is 3% rebate good enough?

I have been using my BAC credit card for online transactions ,it gives me 3% rebate,is that good or bad?
There is another card which gives 5% for restaurant dining?
What is your experience?

Re: Is 3% rebate good enough?

I've found it makes little difference in regards to account operation

It makes some difference to me,
yesterday I went to make payment via Paypal, using my BAC 3% VISA,right there it takes 3% off ,then it tells me I have $40 more for my next purchase>
Not sure who is giving me $40,Paypal or BAC Visa?

Paypal did give me something when I applied for its credit card, but this is BAC Visa.
When Ebay stopped accepting AMEX,we could still use AMEX via PAypal,so AMEX sent its members $10 to use it via Paypal,NICE !l

As long as you make use of the full perks of the card for that annual fee

6% cash rebate on grocery and online transactions!
I always wonder why these cc issuers are so generous when you sign up and the cash rebate you receive, they can do so as they figure you will not make full payment each month and they earn like 30% interest APR from your balance

Of course - they profit on many who can't make the full payment on time and accrue interest...
