| | | BlackLion | 05-08-2026 11:25 AM | Amazon FBA (Selling Jewelry) When it comes to Amazon FBA, how much would I be looking at paying monthly If i'm starting off with 100-200 items totaling around 300-500 grams?
It shouldn't take much cubic space to store chains/necklaces/bracelets, so I'm guessing it'll be the lowest fee on a monthly basis.
Do you think I should use FBA, or ship the items on my own? Will my items appear on the top of the list if i choose FBA instead, as in be more visible? I hear Amazon no longer does "prep services", so this could cut into profits as well, having to package items on your own.
I still have my main amazon account which will be used specifically for it, no stealth.
I'm also looking into Multi Channel Fulfillment to ship to other platforms such as ebay, etc so idk if i should use FBA, or if you have better options let me know. I'm trying to do as little work as possible, because i'm working on multiple ventures. |
| agent006140 | 05-08-2026 05:18 PM | are they precious metal like gold and silver or costume jewelry?
You need AMZN approval to sell jewelry,it could ask you for product authenticity and vendor contract/account.There are fees for packing, shipping, storage, disposal.
if the inventory sit in storage for too long, extra fee.
Better test the water by selling a few on Ebay and see how it goes
WMT just announced earnings,it can see consumers are struggling, buying just 10 gallons of gas each trip, many would not be buying discretionary items .
Then why dont you mute me?
Or you just like to whine !
I know more about jewelry than most of you,he has not told us what kind of jewelry,AMZN is not a easy place to sell jewelry, you run into big boys selling at a good price you cant beat
Thats why instead of looking into FULLFILLMENY BY AMZN,test the water on Ebay or Etsy.
You know what kind of jewelry is hot on Etsy and Ebay?gold and goldfill, they look at the weight and figure the spot price of gold, then make you an offer barely exceeds its scrap value.
why bother?
Unless you have them long ago ,when gold is $500 a troy ounce.
If your posts did not get much response,it is your problem, please do not look for scapegoat.
Why dont you just mute me instead of spending your time whining,
You folks expect too much from this forum, this is not exactly a government or religious forum sponsored by the goverment or the Pope, you guys did something wrong, got suspended and try to get back in.
Mute me and use your spare time reading Ebay,AMZN,ETSY,Paypal rules so you dont get suspended !!!!!!!!!
BTW,EBay is also reading this forum
I cant reveal more but Ebay does follow this forum and it has picked up some good ideas(good ideas, has nothing to do with stealth) Quote:

Re: Amazon FBA (Selling Jewelry) Solid post endeavour BL - I haven't done much with FBA (last time worked with that was 2018) so looking forward to other member's experiences. |

Sure it looks good from a search engine's point of view when every thread gets replies, but nobody gets anything answered anymore. Agent has successfully run off almost all of the regular posters who had anything to actually contribute. The two threads I posted in the last few days have had zero posts that could be called any kind of constructive. It's literally all agent rambling about nonsense. |

Unless you have them long ago ,when gold is $500 a troy ounce. | Nice jewelry knowledge - I don't know a ton about that niche at all. Do you know more than BlackLion? |

Agent isn't the only one but she's the worst as she goes off on tangents unrelated to the original question posed. |

You should go find a different forum.
You would fit in this one perfectly, give it a go: https://incels.is/forums/inceldom-discussion.2/ |

I am still waiting to hear from Black Lion on selling jewelry, | Are you actively reaching out? |
| agent006140 | 06-21-2026 09:49 AM | Re: Amazon FBA (Selling Jewelry) No,he has not been seen or heard lately?
I sold a piece of jewelry to someone in CT,it went to a post office in a city neaby, they reject it(they said they made a mistake,it should not reject it) ,then it went to Indianapolis?now it is back to CT to the same post office which rejected it/
Lets see what they are going to do this time.
Selling online is getting too stressful and the reward is not there.
I also sell books on AMZN,it often shut down my account due to lack of sales, finally got it back on,sold 2 books ,now it said book title should not be too long or too brief??
It deposits one dollar in my bank account, now I have to login and find out why just one dollar? |

TBH I don't think anyone can carve out a spot in jewelry unless your family has already owned a jewelry store for 3 generations or you have millions to invest off the rip. You'd be lucky to break even on a single sale. |
| agent006140 | 06-21-2026 03:54 PM | Re: Amazon FBA (Selling Jewelry) The traditional markup of jewelry is 300 %,thats what I have been told, this is how they can take a $300 piece, marked it down 50% and still make money .
If you have access to private collection, antique auctions ,pawnshops, you can make good money reselling them, those are usually older pieces, one of a kind .
But these days what matter is the gold karat and weight, never mind the pearl or stone !
here is a link to Aspire auction, plenty of jewelry unsold https://www.aspireauctions.com/catalog/419/2958
Women always like to look at jewlery but few have the money to buy,but the men would buy it for her. |

I think it can be a very lucretive business, and they save the best for themselves.
Who is this guy who found Occidental Petroleum, when he and his brother were in Paris, they bought jewelry from the white Russian who fled Russia, they sold their heirloom so they can live. |
