I wouldn't go through my mom's purse or anything - I would go to the store itself and regularly apply my five finger discount hah my techniques were fluid for chocolate, gum, cards, candy, etc

Yes,you can get a can of soda while you shop and leave the empty can behind on some shelf before checking out.
Some would put frozen lobster tail in a package which said edame!
Oh,with busy buffet, one can leave by making excuse to go to bathroom and just leave without paying,
Remember Abbie Hoffman ,he once wrote a book called StEAL THIS BOOK,in the book he suggested finding a restaurant with 2 dining areas, order a big meal in one,get the check,go to the bathroom, come out and sit at the other room coffee counter ,order a cup of coffee.
Get up,go to the cashier and pay for that cup of coffee only.

I once went to the ATM and there was a £20 note in the dispenser the previous customer had forgotten to take, I took it and bough me and my friend lunch.
But I've also found wallets a couple of times and posted them back to the owner, at my expense.
Morals are fluid.

Oh, I've got a cool money one I bought a sketchy $10 bill for $5 when I was 16. Had an adult friend of mine buy me a pack of cigs with it and got $5 change back.
I felt like a life hacker but never did anything like that again.
Now the same pack of cigarettes is like $12 and it hasn't even been that long.

Always loved American Greed (it's taught me a ton about business, tbh). I wish CNBC would've kept the show going in the crypto/AI era. We have Coffeezilla which is decent but the production value just isn't the same.
