I sign into assorted websites with password, then they send SMS or phone call to make sure it is me,it seems every website is doing it.

| phaz0rz | 08-12-2026 09:07 PM | Re: security That's 2FA and captcha's and the reason they're so big now is because it's for training AI. |
Re: security It's annoying the 2FA but slowly being implemented by all... |

| phaz0rz | 08-13-2026 08:22 AM | Re: security I was half joking about AI training but I have seen people claiming that older Google captchas were used to help train some of the earlier image models.
I'm not a fan of needing to link a phone number to online accounts for them to work but it's kind of a necessary evil when money's involved. |
| agent006140 | 08-17-2026 06:38 PM | Re: security Oh,the latest is click on something who needs to be refrigerated?
strawberry,orange juice?
One does not have to refrigerate strawberry.
And what is wrong with Chase Bank,I will have to call them, give them my debit card number, then my pin number, then speark my home address? then it gives me an 8 digit code, all for checking on my account with $100 balance? |
| phaz0rz | 08-17-2026 06:39 PM | Re: security Yeah, I'm worried about BL's lack of refrigeration right now |

what is your high school nickname? |

And when you have to do do the puzzles 3 times and everytime you click the correct images, but it makes you re-do it. Makes me want to throw a jab at the monitor. |
| agent006140 | 08-17-2026 06:51 PM | Re: security sometimes I can hardly see the image . |
| phaz0rz | 08-17-2026 06:58 PM | Re: security Are security questions really that insecure?
Compared to using your phone number where someone can sim swap you, it seems pretty alright.
I think it would be better if everyone had to use PGP for everything. |
| agent006140 | 08-18-2026 05:38 AM | Re: security what kind of food requires refrigeration?
In some countries, they may not have a refrigerator,or they do not place the food in refrigerator, the refrigerator is meant to keep beer cold.
For example, those who live on some Philipines island have no refrigerator, they suggest you boil your food again, the next day !
In Brazil, the government gives you a small ice box free so food does not get spoiled, but some locals prefer to keep their beer cold |

| phaz0rz | 08-18-2026 04:23 PM | Re: security So anyways like I was saying.. have you guys learned about PGP? |
| phaz0rz | 08-19-2026 10:28 AM | Re: security It's really cool but unfortunately it's never been widely adopted. It's used as an alternative form of two factor authentication in some places.
For anyone worried about online security though it's great. You can learn how to setup your own private key and use the software in under ten minutes. |
| agent006140 | 09-10-2026 11:16 AM | Re: security what is PGB?
You should see what idiot security imposed on Chase site-you sign in with username and password, then they call you with a security code, you enter the code, then 4 digits of your debit card, pin number and your DEATH CERTIFCATE ! |

| agent006140 | 09-10-2026 02:01 PM | Re: security There will come a time when it is better to just go to a store instead of screwing around online with those securities.
WMT,BBY and AMZN offer free ship if you buy $35 |

| phaz0rz | 09-12-2026 01:36 PM | Re: security Now if the marketplaces would just start preventing buyers who returned the item from leaving negative feedback, I think we'd be doing well.
If they've already got their money back it's obvious that they're pissed off.. why let them trash the whole platform with their hateful comments? |
| agent006140 | 09-12-2026 02:39 PM | Re: security Some really need the item and the item is not as described, they wasted their time and have to buy again.
Some are selling printer ink with expiration date of 2020? |

I think Ebay has a policy,if buyer wants to leave negative feedback,he has to wait a few days. |

of course one could argue,he can always go to BBY and pay full price. |

It's just frustrating. It's always the buyers you do the most trying to satisfy who leave the worst feedback. :ballchain: |
