UK customs requesting invoice

Hoping someone could share some info here on an undervalued customs invoice. It's for a bunch of 60 items mostly all the same that I plan to resell.

They are requesting

1. If it's personal or business
Q what are the pros and cons of choosing either?

2. Revised invoice
Q could I just modify an Alibaba invoice?

3. Provide proof of payment.
Q whats the safest method of showing this without them checking.

Thanks

How much did you underdeclare those 60 items?

But they aren't items that are common.

You should be able to go to its website and learn the difference between business and personal,if it is USA,over a certain amount(like 3000 dollars, you need a custom broker to clear)
Customs can go to Alibaba and look up the item $
Good luck !

Re: UK customs requesting invoice

OP, are the items all from a particular category or is it a mish-mash of things?

Customs can call in experts to examine the item, there was a time Russians are buying diamond on Ebay and ask Ebay seller to declare a low amount,Russian customs office have to call in expert to find out why a one carat diamond cost only $80??
A guy goes to Thailand to buy sterling silver jewlery and underdeclared them,US customs told him these are not sterling silver or even silver,so he was spared !
I sold a piece of resin ivory skull to Germany,Ebay wants us to call it bovine ivory, meaning resin and cow bone crushed and mixed ,German customs asked how did the cow die,who else is on the plane with this dead cow and which airline and flight number and where is the vet death certificate, the buyer was so scared she did not pick up the item and it was never returned back to me.
I am sure UK folks have their share of customs stories

OP should clarify the category of the items - helps for discussion

Re: UK customs requesting invoice

It does not matter which category, she bought them on ALIBABA,and underdeclared by 3800 GBP.
3800 divided by 60=$633.
So she underclares each item by $633,thinking UK customs are too ignorant to know any better,

Here's my 2 cents as someone who's never stepped foot in England:
1) If you admit the order is for business, you'll be on the hook for more taxes
2) Yes, and you probably should
3) Use the same editing tools used for #2. Every wire I send produces an editable HTML receipt
