Find your lost Serial Codes stored on your computer
I had to restore my computer and realised that I needed to completely restore all the programs on there aswell.
Now did you know that if you install a Microsoft product on your computer you can re-install it again and again as it will be remembered in the registry?
Well its true, but the bug bear is that you have to remember the 25 Digit code to be able to reinstall. This can be a problem if you have lots of software disks and you dont know which one was for your computer. If you input the wrong code then you can have problems with validating your software. The simple solution
The easiest way is to go here and get the "Magic Jelly Bean Keyfinder" About.com: http://magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder/
Very very easy. No install required.
It will tell you your Microsoft Product Codes so you know which disk to install.
I just used it this morning, Took about 1 minute to find out my code
Tip: Some say that you can find it out if you open a program > go help > about, but you do not get the install serial.
This is by far the quickest and best way to do it IMO
Then write your keys down for which computer, or even better save them on a doc file.
Give it a try!
