Foxconn to begin Making iphone 4g
 

Well it in Now Official Foxconn and Apple are in The Final Testing Stages of the iphone 4g, Foxconn's factory expects to begin Production in the 1st Quater of 2011, with a June iphone 4g launch date, foxconn will also begin manufacturing an UNLOCKED iphone 3g in June 2010 which will be available in Eastern Europe and Asia Only.

2011? I was hoping for something sooner then that.

I have the first generation 3G model.. and it's slow compared to newer models. Ah well, I can wait.

Sounds like a good time for an overseas vacation.

Did you read the article about the suicide rate at the Foxconn factory this year? It said that the rate has tripled this year since production of the 4g Iphone started due to wages. I guess the factory workers only make like $130 per month there.
Aspkin- The 4g Iphone will be out in a few weeks. I would bet money they offically unveil the phone on June 7th at the conference they are holding next week and that the phone goes on sale June 22 or June 24.

The other thing about Foxconn is true, I have been reading articles on worker Conditions there for a long time. That Complex is AMAZING though, it is like a small city, you would think that they would treat the workers better, Shame on them!! and also all the Companies that Foxconn Works for, Apple, Dell an so on.

People actually kill themselves over wages? I guess I should be thankful I grew as street kid, always being able to make money without a job.

Life is rough in China. Trust me. If you are born from a poor family it's very hard to become successful. There is lot of competition in universities and colleges, making it hard for students to be admitted. There is also a job scarce in China, with the huge population it's hard to find a well paying job. Why do you think the wages are so little in China? With more demand for jobs they pay workers very little. There is no such thing as unions in china. We need to understand that China has very different labor laws. In Canada, McDonald's and other fast food chains only hire employees for 5 hours a day in order to avoid giving them a lunch break. They try to maximize the amount of money they can make but god knows what happens in China.

I guess by importing from China, I'm actually doing a good thing, killing 2 birds with 1 stone, going against the %100 genuine corporate scam and helping poor people in another country at the same time, no wonder the reward is so good.

Actually most of the factories that produce fkes are part of organized crime..

They hire poor children to work at there factory, I wouldn't be surprised if your customer found a note saying, "please help me."

We'll as long as I buy the stuff I'm helping the poor children out and after chatting with many of them I think they are doing just fine, if not better than me:rolleyes:
