| | | TGMT² | 06-02-2010 04:27 AM | Camera Thread...What kind of Camera do you Recommend? One thing is for sure, everyone on this forum owns a Camera to conduct their business on eBay and Amazon.
Thought this might make a good thread for members to share what Camera they are using and why? I have had the opportunity to try many many digital Cameras because I get really nice ones for under $10 at garage sales.
The Casio Exilim EX-Z75 is my 100% recommendation for a easy to use point and shoot Camera.
Reasons why...2.6" LCD, 300+ pictures per battery charge, Great low light pictures, batteries are $3.30 w/free shipping on eBay, 7.2 MP, automatically senses close-up shots and you can buy this Camera all day long on eBay for less than $50 shipped. |
| teedon | 06-02-2010 08:34 AM | Canon EOS 5D is the best one i ever use. |
| Burning | 06-04-2010 07:04 PM | I have the Canon A590, it's 8 mp and has many cool bells an whistles:
-face detection
-Uses regular batteries, I love regular batteries as I have a bunch of rechargeable ones at home and find it more convenient to use them
- had the option to add a larger lens
-optical image stabelization
- Supports SD Card |
| Vicvelcro | 06-14-2010 03:12 AM | I have an HP M305 (3.2 MP) for the grunt work and a FujiFilm FinePix S1000fd (10.0 MP) for the best eBay pr0n shotz. |
| SelfMade17 | 06-14-2010 11:09 AM | I have the new Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W180. its pretty good 10.1MP
and i like the Canon PowerShot 12.1-Megapixel Digital Camera |
| healthnut88 | 06-14-2010 01:11 PM | I love my Canon Rebel XTI |
| teedon | 06-17-2010 10:43 AM | I have four cameras, one is for family use,the other ones are for business use.Canon EOS 5D do a good job so far and the picture is so clear. |

| Burning | 06-22-2010 11:55 AM | Newegg has a deal last week for a cannon 10 mp, I forgot the model but it was for $125. It was a nice deal! |

| jamcocktail21 | 04-20-2012 06:26 PM | Camera Thread...What kind of Camera do you Recommend? Hello folks, just want to see your opinion what camera do you use for ebay and amazon? some people are using Canon some Nikon/Other cameras.
What do you like more and why? |
| GreenBean | 04-20-2012 06:37 PM | Am a fan of NIKON.
Used them professionally long before I did ebay.
Range these days is excellent for most models.
Choice could be based onwhat's the price range & expectations of the completed image from an easy to use camera. :ranger: |

Very fair point.
How about some followup suggestions from mine regarding 'easy to use' equipment. :ranger: |
| BiN4RY | 04-20-2012 10:17 PM | Cameras along the lines of Nikon D3100 and Canon EOS 1100D are great for starters. They offer great performance for the price you've paids. I've known lots of "promature" hobbiest that used cameras along these entry levels for years and have taken amazing shots with them. Keep in mind that the camera is merely a tool, the quality of its work solely depends on the operator. |
binny, wats your opinion on my camera
would be good to know as i aint really got a clue whats what
all i looked for was good megapixel and a bridge camera |

| Thankful | 04-21-2012 08:07 AM | Yeah GB! don't insult them - I still use them myself. |
| GreenBean | 04-21-2012 08:15 AM | Dear me.You lot are humourless.
Antique Brownies can still fetch up to £50 especially if they are one of those zany coloured models.
Carefully handled you can develop and print off a roll of Kodak 127 from your Brownie.
That separates photographers ;)
@Thankful
that's brownie cookie that you eat :boink: |

| moneyhustler88 | 04-21-2012 04:44 PM | As someone who's worked with TV companies in the UK, Playlist managers and have started from no knowledge of TV Cameras I will say this.
(1) Don't believe anything shops tell you IE: Maplins etc..they're aim is to sell you a camera..thats it and you may end up with something that isn't for the purpose or aim you want
(2) Do your research- read reviews on the model camera your going to buy..BEFORE you buy it. Look at youtube for 'test footage' of the camera model..look at youtube reviews..and of course your friend is google..do your research on google. Whilst 50% of reviews are people's opinions and they're are some companies who get backhanders off the camera companies..some sites like CNET..youtube reviews etc are neutral and will give you a honest run down.
(3) Think thoroughly about what your looking for in a camera..and if the camera your looking at has has this feature..also use this to narrow down your search..camerabox is a good site for this
(4) look around for the best price..sometimes even emailing/telephoning companies they will give u a cheaper price than what the site says..
Me myself own a variety of cameras,
I've got a Samsung 12MP Digitial Camera/Video Camera that shoots in HD I picked up from Argos for £70..it's been a fantastic camera and i just use it reeally for holidays, nights out etc..
Then I also own a Panasonic HDCSD-700..one of the best purchases I ever made a fantastic video camera, and although it's been discontinued now it's fantastic..i've had stuff with this camera get on TV it's also a photo camera pretty good..this one cost me £700 but i got a few years warranty with it too...
(5) I have a Canon 5D and Canon 550D..I use these for professional photos..ie newspapers who want to interview me, when my management want photos etc and also had TV videos on these cameras..i bought both off ebay and paid £4000 with a few multiple lenses got 6 in total..
and I've just bought a Canon 7D :) too.. |

| lhall5422 | 04-25-2012 12:01 AM | Should you use a different camera for all your ebay accts....? A little off topic but....just asking :)

| moneyhustler88 | 04-25-2012 05:38 AM | GTB is the man he knows what he's talking about..you can also download many softwares which will digitally enhance your photos or add presets to give it a pro shot..personally myself I don't use these as I'm a old school believer that from the directors/labels I've worked with natural light and the correct settings/set up before a video/photo is what makes it perfect after..but of course post production these days is as important as recording/photos..you can do alot in post if u have the talent..check out 'rs funky' on youtube that was shot on my SD700 Panasonic I mentioned earlier in the thread..but people think it's Canon 7D Shot..it's all in post production, because my manager is a great editor so he made the video look amazing. That video's now had over 123,000 youtube views and many comments many likes. And was just on UK TV here on Channel AKA/Flava. :) |
...I was looking at Kodak Funshot cameras marked down to 2.97 the other day...good deal.../old school mode off. |
| levi6482 | 05-12-2012 05:33 AM | Schribs all i want is a decent photo for ebay!! A Nice camera that isnt too pricey would do the trick....any suggestions?? All i use is my iphone at the moment.
